The FA Cup (4th Rd ) - Cardiff (A)

Nah, we’ve got a chance to make history. We shouldn’t play our best team but we shouldn’t throw it either like Pellegrini did against Chelsea. With the schedule, we’ll probably play a weakened team against Bristol at home allowing us to play a strong team against Burnley and still give the players 8 days to recover before Liverpool
No; the other way around. Play a strong-ish side against Bristol City; we're only 1 round away from Wembley. Play the second string XI against Burnley.

Seeing the tough schedule and dirty opponents taking their toll on our players, should we down-prioritise the FA Cup totally, considering we still have a good chance at a domestic double and maybe even a better shout than ever at the CL title? Wouldn’t mind seeing a total 2nd string formation against Burnley personally.

Its a no from me and I suspect Pep too.

I agree with the sentiment but reckon we could just go strong in the second leg to get through

To be honest, the FA, the EFL, Premier League, Sky and BT need to come together and work out a solution for what’s best overall for football in this country, because we’re seeing good players struggling with fatigue and injuries and managers having to make so many changes that the quality of football is dropping and the things that used to make English football so marketable, goals, are becoming hard to come by for a lot of clubs. It’s time to stop this ridiculous Christmas schedule, time to bin the EFL cup and give players a chance to get through a season playing their best throughout

The Christmas fixtures are the best thing about English football.

United fucked the FA Cup off years ago and it struggled to recover it from that as a competition for a few years after. In fact, until they realised they needed to win a cup after being found out for the shit they are. We should never do that, treat it with the respect is deserves. The FA Cup is great. The League Cup is the issue, and we are doing pretty well in that with our youth team.

Is nmecha up to a start? Thought he looked very bright against leicester in the cup quarters.

For me we go for the lot, within reason the strongest side possible.
