Anonymity and security is different. Security is keeping your email password safe and unknown to others whereas anonymity is saying that your email account may or may not belong to you.

Anonymity is the right to a private life and the extension of that to the internet. I think that Damocles' point was that if you're happy for anyone to look at your browsing history, it extends that you'd be fine with people peeping in your windows and reading your correspondence. Yeah exactly and I wouldn't have an issue with that. I might not publish my correspondence but we are talking about governments having access if they needed it. I have no issue if somewhere along the line it catches a peado or terrorist
