With regards to the tories. Why do they hate the NHS so much...?

oh........

Thats a very good point.

The govt we elected was not one i voted for. Im a socialist, the last labour govt was nothing like i thought i might of got and it hurt, it hurts me now.

All i see is politics being drawn further and further to the right, Labour now is soft right in so many ways, the tories are going further right.

They pretty much all appal me

You do know that the the treasury task force on PFI was privatised by Labour in 2001 to become Partnership UK PLC and major shareholders included serco, Jarvis and G4? You do know that the Commission on PPP was funded by Serco, G4, and KPMG amongst others? You do know NLGN corporate funders included Serco, Jarvis and KPMG? All of this occurred under a Labour government that committed this country to contracts worth in excess of £50bn with major beneficiaries being serco, G4, Jarvis, and KPMG. Just saying like.
Also like to point out that Gordon 'mr crooked bastard' Brown sold our gold at the lowest price he could get so he get a short term fix for his shit handling of the economy- all of those labour assholes should be in jail now- they have singlehandedly ruined pour country
The tories and all the others are also shite but at least they can handle money - with labour it burns a hole in their pockets and they just want to spend spend spend -
add to that the fiasco over immigration- this was intended as the likelihood of future labour voters was high - disgusting the lot of them - never ever have a labour crew in again they cannot be trusted at all .
don't get me on energy either- Miliband the geek of the week had no idea and he is plainly
stupid
Take a look at the cross section of mp's - over 60% are lawyers says something that - failed lawyers who cannot make it in the real world so they just go and fuck it up for the rest of us

Well that's shot Mat down.

I do what I can.

Of course, and as much fun as it is, debating how big business has captured the government or political party favour doesn't get us very far, understanding why is probably more benefical. Governments have, for generations, oiled the wheels of business and with the more recent trend towards multinational/globalisation coupled with our service economy it is a necessity to continue to provide growth and jobs. It may seem like corruption and not sit right with our sense of fair play but the world doesn't play by the rules and the UK economy has no choice but to compete to have these firms setup shop here.

There you go Mike, you'll enjoy that.

Nothing like a bit of tub thumping from the torygraph to stir tory faithfull. You can also feel pain that the poor hack has to put himself into to try provide substance to an idealogical speech and aspirations and hot air.

Its common knowledge that Cameron is trying to steal Blairs mantle with a fraction of the charisma. The unfortunate for you tory boys is charisma alone is not enough to win an election. You can only hoodwink the electorate for so long that the plan ain't working and its all labours fault.

But as targets are spectaculary missed, and promises are continually broken the timer is running out of sand. Unfortunatley for the tory's the plan to move the goal post on boundaries to lock yourselves in for another term has gone. There might be 2 and 1/2 to go until the next election but nothing other than a miracle is gonna see you through.

ah the beauty of a naive youth then?

You don't know me, and FYI at present I pay tax every fuckin month, so put that in your pipe and smoke it. Tit.

I digress from the attempted but flawed character assassination to metalblue's point about my point about people who will not pay more taxes re tax have questionable morals, well they do. Plain and simple. Those with the broadest shoulders must contribute to help those less fortunate, how about those kids who didn't perform well at school as they were caring for their mother who's go a debilitating disease, so how about we stop with the daily mail generalisations that every citizen on the dole is a 'sponger' I suppose you voted Tory as you though his economic experiment was going to get us out of Labours 'mess' and then you'd get all giddy about a pre election bribe before 2015 in the form of a tax cut. You were loving their tough line on immigration and Cameron's non veto in Brussels. Do us a favour and vote UKIP.

How about those the work the system? I know a family who live separately, child number one signed over to dad so he gets top rate child benefit whilst mum gets top rate for child number 2. Both work the minimum hours to claim maximum benefits and yet they have just had child number 4, just where is it fair for people that get their butts out of bed and work a full week plus to pay more towards these people?

It's the same old story, lower earners bleat that higher earners should pay more to support lower earners, which would be fine without the example above also receiving benefit from increased taxes. The higher earners protest that they shouldn't pay for those that don't ( not a problem with those that can't) and people like you make them out to be 2 headed monsters or call them "tits" ( FYI. Once you name throw you lose credibility).

Look dimwit, I'm not a Tory, could never vote for them, I doubt you'll find a more liberal poster on here but I post to annoy you back slapping labour losers that fail to see or recognise how shite your previous governments were and how profligate they were when times were good.

You treat it like a game of football, as a film with goodies and badies, you are naive in the extreme. Non give a fuck about you mike, be they left or right and yet you invest emotional capital in the shite they peddle.

It would be funny it it were not so tragic.

Anybody that believes in the welfare state will be as annoyed and enraged by these people as you are, not least because they provide a very convienient stick to attack the system with for those who don't believe in welfare in the first place.

Don't know what age the socialists on this thread are but I have survived a good many labour eras and have to say all demonstrated poor thinking , short termism on a grand scale and, most worrying of all, profligate spending which left successors in deep holes of debt - there is a pattern and it's not a good one !
politics today is full of scandal , lies and basically corruptness to the extreme- tthye should all be lynched and a proper cross section of society leceted democratically- who are not short termists and have the very best interests of people as a whole, at their heart.

They most certainly do provide a very big stick, I personally would be disgusted that anyone did not believe in welfare, there for the grace of God go I and all that.

However I'm sick of hearing and seeing this same old crap, no higher earner should assume those on benefits are all scrounges, and likewise it is unfair for those on benefits or lower wages to assume that every higher earner is a greedy so and so and I am often left wondering how much of that attitude is born out of the little green monster lurking its head.
