Be interesting to see how he goes.

He has a lot of learning to do, in order to blend in to Pep's system, & a few months ago, it would be a crime to break up the defence, but bizarrely, John Stones has come back & pretty much made every mistake a new central defender could possibly make, so Laporte would struggle to do worse really & he is a class act.

He must at least have a chance of competing for a regular starting place this season, due to the recent below par defensive performances, which I wouldn't have given him or VVD or anyone much hope of at all short term, until I saw JS comeback.

Interesting few weeks ahead.
