It's time these clubs started thinking outside the box with their managerial appointments, same old managers getting jobs, giving clubs brief spikes before eventually getting the sack.

Look at Sunderland, last/this season have shown that some of these clubs will drop like a brick if/when they do go down.

I remember a good point someone made on Sunday Supplement, that while there's this perception foreign managers are preventing young upcoming British coaches from landing good jobs, the problem really is the old, British managers and the merry go round culture are actually the biggest obstacle by far.
 
No, you can see what is happening at Swansea by them making Leon Brittan assistant manager. He will be manager by this time next week. It's a ploy by the owners who have seen the fans turn on them. They know that the fans would never boo Leon Brittan because they think the sun shines. Pulis will probably walk into the Wales job

In the debate on whether he was a success or failure he was a success for all the clubs owners by keeping the the premier league gravy train rolling, but a unprecedented failure for all fans of teams he’s managed with the turgid football he served up, fans want to see good football not good a bank balance
