In the UK you can ignore the global pandemic, Russia invading Ukraine, insane economic policies relating to net zero that are destroying our economy and just blame Brexit.

When you say renovated, I presume you've taken the old logs away, chopped a tree down and built a new wall. As for modernised, you've put floorboards down instead of the earth floor.
 
The flat above mine is on sale and is largely the same size. It’s 20% more than I paid for mine in 2021.
