Some of the things that were different when I was a lad -

Sri Lanka was called Ceylon.
Beijing was called Peking.
Zimbabwe was called Rhodesia.
Queen Boodicaa was called Boadecia.
A gay person was someone who was happy.(no sexual implication at all).
A PC was a policeman.
A TV was something you watched (only 3 channels) & also had no sexual implication.


Oh yeah,forgot to add,all reds were twats,always have been,always will be. I Thank You.

Apparently no-one uses the word 'besides' any more? I use it all the time when i'm justifying one of the many incredibly stupid things i do wrong, but i got told off for it. Is besides an old-fashioned word?
