Will China be able to take over the Premier League?

If they get it right, then it could be huge

Imagine the interest if they do well in the World Cup, have 6or7 home grown players complimented with top foreign players.

They have to get it right nationwide before they take it worldwide in my opinion. Get good managers, good players, good pitches and good attendances then who knows

What is happening to the Chinese League is what happened/is happening with City but on a much larger scale.

We bought Robinho, they laughed. We got Mancini, they laughed. We wanted Guardiola, they laughed. They ain't laughing now!

Anything can happen. They built a 800mile railway in 2 years, so I'm pretty sure they can get 18 football teams competitive in 10 years

Football in North America can't rival the European stage because they already have 4 dominant sports.
If football can become China's number 1 sport then yes it can absolutely rival the Premier League at some point in the future.

A world league is inevitable in my opinion and those with the most money and the biggest markets will be in the vanguard. That's where our links with China and the USA will pay off. Our owners aren't stupid.

the Chinese themselves have to embrace it first.if they get good crowds and make it sustainable then eventualy it will be big.there is more than enough room for all the worlds leagues its just which ones end up being global like the prem and la liga that's where the money is.

Wasn't it Russia that was predicted the same thing a few years ago when they were buying the likes of Hulk? And before that the USA? And probably the J-league before that. And the USA once before in the 70s? It's easy to throw shitloads of money at something. Turning it into a sustainable business is another question, and that's the only way it will ever match the big European leagues.

If they build a sustainable infrastructure across the many teams, including a big emphasis on homegrown talent then yes it can become dominant football powerhouse but having the big named stars not no actual competition amongst players in these teams it will just be the same boring crap with the superstar players looking immense and the other 21 players on the pitch looking like donkeys.

Coaching for ten years, bringing through the right kids, will disrupt the European league cartel
