great result tonight. everyone played well. we really are lucky with the manager and players we have.

watched it in the pub tonight, one fella sat near me would not stop moaning all game it was like being at the etihad.

Another impressive performance imo.

I can see it starting to look / feel like it should, and importantly, how Pep wants it.

Looks like the players are learning how to move 'together' in all phases, how to win the ball back when out of possession and how to 'spring' when the counter is on.

Still to much pissing about in tight defensive areas for me but I've noticed the defenders (Stones particularly) are learning to 'show' and make angles to give the defender with the ball better options.

And lets have it right, when Silva is allowed the freedom to boss fuck out of a midfield, he really does boss fuck out of a midfield. Absolutely peerless when he's properly on it.

If we get within 6 of Chelsea they may well shit their knickers and game well and truly on. Game at theirs could be colossal.
COULD be colossal?

Sané is so dangerous making those runs into.the box, close to unstoppable. We need to use it more at 0-0 imo.

Very solid once we got the 2nd, Stones improved a lot as the game went on.
Stones looks poor atm in general, seems to have regressed from his Everton days.

Stones? Poor? Regressed?

Give over.

He played superbly well tonight.
Bag of nerves 1st half, never got his angles right when going long and kept playing it into negative areas when he wasn't miskicking it out of play, improved 2nd half but shouldn't be ahead of Otemendi atm.

Silva was my motm by a long shout today.......he was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch. The best player I've ever seen play for us (wasn't around in the 60's but he is the complete footballer and as someone else said...no one with better balance and vision than him in the perm league at present and very few come close ever.....bergkamp, zola hazard (though a very different type of player)

Solid performances all around without anyone bar Silva being outstanding.

Sane's pace from deep is frightening.....there was a pint right near the end of the second half on the left hand side where i think we were dfednign a corner or a ball near that area of the pitch at least....the ball comes out to KDB near the edge of the area and Sane starts to run........well inside his own half and Kdb just knocked the ball into space....and Sane still gets to the ball first. Possibly should have done better in front of goal tonight and looked a little indecisive at times but overall played well as did sterling.

Yaya a little of it tonight.

Sagna and Willy played well ( 2 great saves by Willy which again cements his place in the starting 11)

Sergio grew into the game and got better and better in the build up play......i think everyone should know that after a lay offf it takes jun a while to get back into things....first half his touch was awful.....second had it got better and better and he got the goal which should help his confidence a little.

Hope GJ is ok....didnt look too bad and I really want to see him and Kun on the same pitch as each other for a few games....

Well the man in charge disagrees with you.

Sorry but IMO I thought Spanish Dave was absolutely superb.A fair few times Sterling made the wrong pass but DS hardly gave the ball away.Don`t get me wrong,Sterling wasn`t shit, but Spanish Dave was so superior in every way.

i never said silva wasn't superb. but sterling won us the match and thats what counts imo. both played well.

Not sure it's that ludicrous. We've lost three of our last six away games, conceding four twice. The three we've won have been against teams in the bottom half. Three of our next four away games are Arsenal, Chelsea and Southampton. Don't want to be pessimistic, but equally not going to get carried away just yet.

It's on if we win those though, big style.

Nope....sorry....not having any of that.

Peps reaction at the end with the lad suggests he isnt either.

Not sure we were watching the same game.
