The Boxing thread

Because he knows no fucker will insure him for another fight.
No insurance =no fight.

I still find it odd that neither fighter mentioned the injury. No insurer will simply act on tonight. Haye looks fucked and likely to be out of action for a good few months.

But either way, Haye doesn't look like he has that ability to dominate any longer.

However. it's a real shame it ended that way.

Bellew is one lucky bastard. He struggled against a fighter that was border-line incapacitated and couldn't fight at even 50%.

Bizarre. Haye not looking great when he should've won comfortably, Haye then being unable to stand up for a round before deciding it was a good idea to carry on, Bellew struggling to beat a cripple who could hardly fight back, Bellews team/mates celebrating wildly as though this was an impressive feat, Haye/Bellew love-fest at the interview & no one deciding to mention the injury.

Top it off the crowd booing Haye even though he could easily have quit, he stood and got punched for 5 rounds for their entertainment, and then sucked up to their star for a few minutes in the interview - merciless crowd.

Yeah, the booing was off. I fucking hate Haye, but he got some respect from me tonight. Not that he needs it, being a multimillionaire athlete, ha.

It's not their fault what happened but the way Sky acted about that fight afterwards just damaged British boxing, fuck knows what those watching in America made of that, they must be laughing at us.

Did Bellew call out Wilder too?

He was chasing Bellew for them rounds, Bellew is like that kid who watches his mate knock someone out and then runs over and boots the lad in the head like he is hard haha.
Haye had lost it completely in those opening rounds, boxed like a total dick.

Well said, brilliant post

You enjoy watching England play so not really surprising mate.

I thought Haye would knock him out in the 1st so this fight far exceeded expectations - Credit to Haye for battling through that and Bellew especially as the underdog giving a fine composed performance

Mark it was a dogshit show from 2 dogshit boxers and all designed to make each other rich and even richer come the rematch as Bellew wont go near Joshua or anyone else for that matter.
