How many season tickets do we sell each year

Most people have a decent mobile phone now, surely it wouldn't be too hard to do a mass txt message to all season ticket holders, asking a simple question a week before:
Reply y if you are going to the match
Reply n if you aren't going to the match

If n, the seat for season ticket is offered for sale by club, and the season ticket holder gets a proportion of it's resale value back, if the ticket is sold.

Surely Win-win ?

Season ticket holder isn't 'wasting as much money' and has possibility of getting some back. NonST holders have better chance of ticket. Club gets more money and fuller ground.

If club don't get a reply, then nothing happens.

If muppet replys with n, and still turns up, gets stoppped at gate, then season ticket revoked as they are muppet causing queues

So exactly like the ticket exchange then? As usual club Is realonsible but its the fans who choose not attend (which is fair enough) but then also choose not to enable the club to sell it.

They announced it at the ground 52.356
That can't be right or else Jeff Stelling and Phil Thompson wouldn't have commented on the thousands of empty seats (and, because they're blue, it sticks out in the lights and at night!). Apparently, Pep has given up on the title and so have we(?), hence a half empty stadium which transmitted itself to the players and was partly responsible for the Stoke performance........

Wonder when these two are gonna come up with something that would 'enlighten' the football fan?

Not quite. Sending a 1 letter txt reply to an txt prompting msg, would seem a simple step forward
?

That's how many are in attendance, not tickets sold. If they said tickets sold as the attendance, it would be announced as 55k every league game.

Err no its not. Regular it says sold out on our website and when we are there we know its no full because of no shows

How do you know it was 52k sold? I would say it would be more like 54k sold but 52k in the stadium. 2k season tickets holders didn't turn up?
Because that's what they have to report under PL rules. Every season ticket/hospitality ticket or match ticket sold is counted whether the holder turns up or not as well as tickets we give out free or at reduced rate.

'Write' a hoolie' book then complain about the crowd and atmosphere these days? The pathetic 'hoolies' are the cause.

Spot on Frank. Plus all these Blues who want even more help selling tickets for the less popular games make me laugh.

If a season ticket holder can't make a game they can apply for their seat to be resold via the club but they don't resell them until it's a complete sell out.
It wasn't a sell out against Stoke.

True. We did well to sell half the tickets Stoke could have taken. There just isn't the demand to resell thousands more tickets for Stoke midweek.

What would that achieve? Plenty of fans couldn't (that's couldn't, not didn't want to) go to the Stoke game because of the late re-arrangement. Banning them from using the ticket exchange wouldn't have increased the attendance.
