We played well up to putting the ball in the net and frankly, that was our worst performance of the season in that regard. We could easily have had 6 or more if we had been more accurate in the box. Not sure what the answer to that is because all of the front 5 were guilty. As for Middlesbrough, they deserve nothing and I hope they go down. Set of filthy bastards and could have put Kun and Raheem out for lengthy periods. If that's how Karanka wants his team to play then he deserves a short career. Nice to see Mike Dean giving us the protection we deserve.

100%, have a soft spot for Sunderland after hearing they did the poznan on that momentous day in May

Quite right. I also have a lot of respect at how their support behaved at Wembley when we beat them. I really hope they stay up but it doesn't look likely.

Several Middlesborough players seemed intent on injuring our players and Dean allowed it. Disgraceful on so many levels. Hope they get relegated. Great win mind..
Unbelievable cloggers vs. Class.
Fancy watching Boro every week ? - hope they get out of this division in May.
Leadbetter and others were intent to injure City players. Ref. was useless - the assistants are no use at all. Why cannot they make decisions - seem scared?
to assist !.
I won't mention their manager - who rhymes with w*nker.

PS. Thought Sterling scored a good goal - rebound off Guzman - was level with their defender but liner reacted to Sterling's speed. - too fast!.

It’s only nitpicking, but despite a number of recent clean sheets, we’ve slipped into a habit of giving our opponents a free header from a set piece. Monaco didn’t capitalise and neither did Sunderland or Boro, but sooner or later, we’ll concede.

As for their fouling, I thought the one on Nolito was the worst. There was only 30 seconds remaining, yet Traore still dived-in recklessly.

To be honest what can you do when you are outclassed in every non goalie position ?

They were chasing shadows most of the time so got frustrated then found they were helped by a lenient ref so a throwback to the days when ´´never mind the ball lets get on with the game´´ prevailed.

They still lost and with any type of decent finishing it would have been a landslide so they can take comfort from it being only 2 - 0.

Just thought i'd pop on a Boro forum to see what they thought. Generally they're not happy with
the team and manager. But found this one funny :-

"If ever there was a man grateful that he was born human it is De-roon,lets face it if he was born a horse he would have been dog food by now. What a totally useless waste of space that guy is."

I hoped Nolito stuck the head on the fat little ****!

BBC highlights didn't show any of the dirty stuff from them. I'm not sure if that is some sort of backhanded dig, but in general the highlights wasn't really a true reflection of that game. They kicked the shit out of us. If it had been the Rag's of Chelski against Boro you can bet they would have shown it.
