That's been my experience. It can be overt, particularly when fuelled by booze or more subtle, which is what I have seen in the workplace. When it's called out for what it is, it's usually countered that it's just banter and the recipient should get a sense of humour. I have had one colleague who moved back to England because their seven year old daughter was picked on at school because of her accent.
 
Have a look at social media for examples of snp racism. Iv seen it,heard it and work with many english and most have suffered abuse. Iv known an english family that moved back to england because their child was bullied for being english so dont lecture me about the fucking snp and its rabid followers.
The white paoer was bollocks, the oil fund was a lie and they still dont know what currency to use! These anti english bastards have clearly brainwashed some dummies but luckily 2 million did not fall for it.
 
I've lived in Scotland for over 20 years, in Falkirk, Leith and East Lothian and don't recognise any of this anti English sentiment some of you talk about.

There's anti Tory/Eton cabal sentiment for sure but that applies equally to Scottish Tories like Rifkind or Mundell as it does to the likes of Duncan Smith et al.

i didn't vote in the last referendum but would lean towards voting for independence in this one.

Utter horseshit laddy. Add to that the fact that the anti english party would agitate for a vote no matter what, you know it and so does everyone else. So you think that manifesto shite gives them a mandate? Unbelievable even for a seperatist! Do you really think they are justified becauae "they believe" there is a material change? I posted the SNP manifesto and the extract explicitly citing the point that named taking us out of the EU against our will.

62% remain is way, way against our will. May will be slaughtered if she doesn't. She will give us a trainload of ammunition and we will use it.

Ok, maybe the proximity makes it better? I am just outside Edinburgh - believe me east of Scotland circa 1973 was not a particularly enlightened place for a Scot who sounded English - I still have the physical scars! I worked for one of the Scottish banks that merged with a Yorkshire building society and saw first hand some of the problems Yorkshire colleagues had settling here. It's a minority, but a large enough one to make it a problem. Have never had the reverse problem in England.

She might try that. Again, a dangerous precedent and won't be received well. Need to see how that pans out. She doesn't want to back herself into a corner and sturgeon goes in after her and forces her out.

I guess you are writing that as a member of the SNP rather than as a Scot. I voted to stay in Europe but No in the independence referendum. We need a second referendum like a hole in the head as it will continue the devisive nature of life in Scotland for many more years. The polls still show a majority in favour of the uk and against another referendum. It's a no win for us either way - hard brexit or out of Europe and out of the Uk. And for the record, if you genuinely believe there is no anti English bias or behaviour in Scotland then it is you that is deluded my friend

I know there are some arseholes but the vast majority if people don't feel that way. I have tackled these type if pricks everywhere I come across them.

We cannot be held up as basically racists because we have some. Focus on the vast majority that hate these cunts that shame us.

As for the ref, I think it is justified. I am not convinced we will win as people might feel both are too scary.
I understand that. I understand the divisions, but surely we can't be expected just to shut up because there will be strife.

That's life. Nothing comes easy. And nobody shoukd be expected to take a back seat because it's difficult.

An eternity of Tory rule will be confirmed when Labour are decimated at the next GE.

That prospect is a hole in the head we cannot accept. If we do, we deserve all we get.

The same principals May is espousing are the same case for indeoendence.

Manifesto commitments have a mandate. To deny that denies the legitimacy of that principal.

She us arguing to leave EU fir self determination, controlling the borders. Leaving a market . All because the people voted for it.

Well we voted a party that specifically stated take us out against our will and against the promises made then game on.

She wants one rule for her and if she goes on with that Sturgeon will call her out and knowing that May will offer one after Brexit.

We won't agree because we don't want out.

We have the right to decide timescale. Out Parliament will vote next week. If they do May will be in a situation where she delegitimises a parliaments wishes and that would expose her and give her nit a keg to stand on.

I don't think she will do that. If she does it gives the people of Scotland a clear signal that we may all be equal, but some of us are more equal than others.

That will and does fuck us right off.

I hope she does though. There's nothing better for us being able to point at double standards and having just to shut up.

There are so many echoes of Brexit here. That's why one or two of the enthusiastic Brexiteer posters actually have some sympathy. We were equally accused of being motivated by racism, when it was just a minority of tossers.

My only issue, as I've said before, is the timing of another referendum. It should be once Brexit is well out of the way. And it should be made clear that it would be "final". No re-runs.
