The most traditional English food is ?

Pastry, potatos and meat, in lots of combinations. Every village in Yorkshire and Derbyshire seems to have it's own tart/pudding/cake, while we've managed to come up with hundreds of delicious ways of wrapping meat in pastry
 
Traditionally
Stews or Pies, been around for 900 years in some form and triffle or almond based dishes

Washed down with dandelion & burdock
 
Just done braised beef for after the match tomorrow. Comfort food, hope I don't need comforting though.
