My guess is that Zabaleta is not fit, which is why Clichy is in there as I would have played Fernandinho at left back and Zabaleta at right back. After the disappointment of Monaco the goals are now clear for the players- show and redeem yourselves between now and the end of the season by fighting hard in every premier league game and winning the FA cup. Nothing more to say with respect to this season.
Guardiola is playing all the attacking players that essentially bottled the first half against Monaco and they have to get right back to winning ways. Liverpool will pose a threat with their quick passing and energy; Mane in particular will be their main weapon and our fullbacks, Clichy in particular, need to be awake for most of the match.
A win here will pull us away from the chasing pack and will inject some positive energy to things.

Best lineup in months.Not the greatest of lineups but fingers crossed they know what they are doing when they cross the white-line.

Will pep ever learn that outscoring your opponents only works when we score loads of goals. Looking at that line up we need 4 goals for a win today. No chance. If ever a game was lost before it starts it's this one.

Whichever way you look at it, whichever permutations of the defence is pick, there are serious problems. If Zab was picked, there would be people saying he'll get done for pace, if Sagna was picked there would be people saying he offers nothing going forward - there is no right or good answer as to who plays at the back
All I can say is, I'm glad Stones is on as I have him down for 1st goal at 50/1!

We played Yaya there at home v Spurs, a high intensity, pressing side, like Liverpool, and played them off the park, only to be fucked by the ref. Yaya is the least of our concerns.Yaya as a holding one is just madness this ain't gonna make good watchin :-/

Given he plays him regularly, I don't see the ground breaking announcement you do. 21/27 PL games.The bench. But I'm guessing your dour self already knew that.
Especially given he is a CB on top of your amazement, and that's the only position he's played.
