No stats but people I know that vote SNP, that are English and against independence, because they see them as the best party to govern Scotland for whatever reasons. I did have a quick look for figures though couldn't find anything but found this.

Lived here for 20 years never felt hated by anybody and not by our local SNP Mp. His starting point is he wants to see an independent stand alone Scotland including all who live here where they have come from. They actually want an increase in immigration from the UK and beyond.
He's well aware I voted no last time and hasn't a problem with it.
Don't get why people get so angry about a political party being honest in campaigning for what it says on the tin. We're all free to vote for them or not.
So "lots of English voters" has turned into a few of your mates?
By the way if you want to use a credible source on anything, the Independent isn't a reliable one, they lie more than any paper in the UK. But let's just look at that article, after all there's a Yougov poll which means it's all correct!
The poll puts Labour far too close to the Tories than they actually are now and the SNP behind UKIP, but says "roughly the same as UKIP".
It's also two years old and a year after the 1st referendum had taken place. A lot has changed since then and the left wing English people who said they'd vote SNP may have had a change of heart since the latest calls for a referendum and Brexit AND the way the SNP are behaving. The country and situation has changed drastically and hatred for the SNP has spiked recently.
The article doesn't state how many people and in which regions either. You'll get far more people likely to admire the SNP in Manchester than Kent for example so I wouldn't take that out of date, inaccurate article as gospel. Plus the Lib Dems are dead, they're a laughing stock.
The Yougov poll could have been 50 people for all we know.
Obviously people have different experiences in Scotland but when I was in Edinburgh in September I was gobsmacked at the English negativity. Kel Brook was fighting and in the huge pub we were in they were cheering the foreign fighter and singing anti English songs.
Obviously it's nowhere near all Scotland but it's a very vocal minority, just like the referendum.
Believe me, the SNP have pushed a lot of buttons south of the border. It's a disgrace that a party of 1 million in a 60 million people country are getting so much airtime.
