When you come at the King, best not miss...
Are we signing Mbappe ?
When you come at the King, best not miss...
Oh no, here we go.
So this was your King reference from the other day?
I can't see us getting Mbappe and Sanchez.
If so Aguero is definitely off.
What about our midfield and defence though?
Best defence is an attack that scores 200 goals a season.
Do you honestly believe that he isn`t going to do that ?Talk about stating the bleedin` obvious !!Forward will win you the game, but Defender will win you the title.
generally the team who won the league, got one of the best defensive line up and conceded the least goals.
unreliable defender, will put much pressure to the striker to score more goal every game.
just like how City play this season, control most of the game, lot of possession, but they can't score more.
but always concede soft goals, and the opponents doesn't need too many shot on target to score.
it's easy to defend, rather to score.
i just wish Pep build the team from the back. sort out that defensive line.

Our defensive strategy is nowhere near as bad as Sky pundits would have you believe. We seem to have a shocking number of individuals errors and allows teams to score from the 1 decent chance they have. Hopefully our new players will sense danger much more.Statistically the champions having the best attack is much more common than them having the best defence.
Our current defence has let in 7 goals in the last 10 games, and that's the 3rd best in the league, only behind Spurs (6) and United (4), and we've kept 4 clean sheets.
Peps made massive strides in tightening up the defence, it's just gone unnoticed for some reason.
So if we actually get our attack sorted out, the currrnt defence would be enough to win the league, and as Pep is obviously going to upgrade the personnel in the defence anyway, I don't think there's any reason to worry about it. Until this year He's had the best defensive record in every league season he's ever managed and next season I expect he'll get back to that.

Having said that had its clear we don't take chances. Everton at home is a good example. How many chances did we miss before they eventually shot and scored? A bit of improvement at the back and a lot of improvement up front and we'll be very, very difficult to beat next season. Imagine being the opposition when they can't get possession and when we have it we are cracking them in. It would be utterly demoralising for them!
no way are we buying mbappe!! he`s only had half a season and granted has been amazing but at least a world record fee???
Actually "Le10sport" is totally shit so you're right, that one is a fake news.
But true there is a fact : 110M€ bid from City was immediatly rejected by monaco few weeks ago
The contract, mate. It matters. And it ends in 2 years. I'm surely not an expert, bit think it's either Mbappe extending the deal, allowing Monaco to receive huge transfer fee next summer (think that'd be fair and would ensure that he'll be a starter for next club no matter what) or we'll see him moving right now. Otherwise... How can they get 100m+ for a player with 1 year contract? But then again, you never know with this crazy market, when the quoted price for Alexis is 50m...Monaco would have to receive a crazy amount to sell this summer. Still think he stays for a year and they make even more off him next year while having another year of competing for Ligue 1 and playing in the UCL.
