I agree they should all be fitter,i just don't see the point of having him deep and then expecting him to sprint fowards, thats not really his game
I think in terms of skill set, Silva should have be the more withdrawn one.I guess you just want Silvia as far up the pitch as possible - he's amazing and you want his best work on the edge of the opposition box. I honestly think Silva is the most underrated player in world football.
We switched to 442 ala AtlMadrid with Kev and Aguero as forwards in that game if I'm not mistaken. Counterattacking play really suits Kev, no doubt, but I'm not sure we'll ever see this formation again, it was our plan B.Haha am not that bad Dax! ;-) just we were poor first half against Barca yet when pep swopped it 2nd half kev destroyed them.
Just kidding. I actually agree with you. I think its better the other way around.Haha am not that bad Dax! ;-) just we were poor first half against Barca yet when pep swopped it 2nd half kev destroyed them.

I'm liking the kid at Alaves over anyone st DM right now. Marcos Llorente.I think merlin would be amazing in a xavi type role? With Fabinho possibly in DM behind him?
He should stay away from the box till he can shoot. World 11 player and our best ever. He should be scoring for fun, I wonder if Pep can change this.I think in terms of skill set, Silva should have be the more withdrawn one.

I loved that setup. I'm actually surprised pep hasn't dropped Aguero to play KDB as false 9. I'm glad he hasn't but I'm surprised seeing how quickly he was to drop him for GJ.
It's just not Pep's/Cryuff's style. He can abandon positional play for emergency reasons, like in that game, but overally seems to reckon simple counterattacking play too primitive and lacking development perspective. In other words, he's not Mou) Though he can drill the team in any style, so it's fun to read that he "can't sort out defence, needs to learn from defensive coaches" etc.I loved that setup. I've already posted that Pep expects more from his strikers than just putting it in the onion bag, check out the stats below, it's just a snapshot and an insight to the two players on the defensive side of their game, the stats are taken from this seasons Premier League games:
Sergio Aguero
Apperances: 25
Goals: 16
Tackles: 14
Interceptions: 3
Alexis Sanchez
Apperances: 30
Goals: 18
Tackles: 41
Interceptions: 18
The stats above show you Sergio has to dramatically change his game under Pep if he's going to stay part of this squad, it also shows you the reason Pep is a big fan of Sanchez
Arsenal will mug us once again if the 50 Mill quote is anywhere near accurate. Good player but he's 28 years old FFS. Lets look for cheaper younger talent.
Mate you do this a lot when you feel 'an opinion' differs drastically from your own.. there's nothing condescending if we have the same debate 3/4 times, you countered yet never acknowledged you agreed, anyway, you have posted what I said 20 pages back, if kun is willing to stay, rotate and not be 1st choice every week, then it's a no brainer, however, what I and a few others are alluding to is that in principle that is great, in practice it just won't happen.... he isn't Wayne Rooney and nor will he want to find himself in such a position!!!
KDB would have 30 if those that should convert were fit or focussed enough.Good post. Really shows the defensive effort Sanchez puts in. I would also add assists to that list which reads:
Sergio Aguero
Appearances: 25
Assists: 0
Alexis Sanchez
Appearances: 30
Assists: 9
11 assists is the most in league which KDB has along with Eriksen and Sigurdson, even though some think De bruyne has been having a terrible season but that's another topic.
