Arsenal(FA Cup Semi Final) Post Match Thread

It's puzzling to see so much negativity about the season. We'll still finish 3-4 in the league. Many here are struggling with simple maths.

City 20 shots 3 on target 1 goal.

Arsenal 9 shots 3 on target 2 goals.

For me that sums up our season. Practice shooting and for a start try to give the goalie something to do.

It sums up our season alright, however effective finishing is pretty much related to psychology: Calmness, serenity, selfbelief, determination etc in front of goal. Basically you have a pressured team out there, physically as well as mentally. Our confidence levels (which influence the quality of our overall game anyway, decision making, passing accuracy, you name it) have not been consistently where they should, and we definitely have not developped in terms of personality (despite the presence of experienced players on the pitch). You have to ask yourself why...

I wish we had a team where every player was in the mould of Vinnie, Zabba and Yaya.

There are too many soft arses in our side.

You do realize it was Vinny's stupid free kick that led to their second goal don't you? it was a totally unnecessary foul to give away.

Am i the only one who thinks Kevin was shit, and wasted that free role opportunity he got given to him.

nope....i agree...shit might be harsh but i think he is well short of what he is capable of and baring the odd bit of brilliance has been for a while....

Wave bye bye to champions league football for next season unless this team steps up to the plate on thurs which goin off past results is unlikely

Not just mine.

Even Ian Wright and Camelgob thought it was nailed on and took the piss out of Webb but if you share the view of Webb in that it wasnt a penalty then thats your perogative as it is mine to completely ignore 99% of the tripe that comes out of you on here.

I always wait for the first insult and you just can't help yourself. So I feel quite justified in suggesting that you offer absolutely nothing to Bluemoon apart from excusing Pep at every opportunity just like you did Pellegrini before him.

i thought it looked like the back of silva knee ......hope you are right

ferna - well i thought that was cramp - he seemed to be grabbing the back of both calves (it would be very unusual to get a muscle pull in both)

Sergio - yeah thats what i thought

I think we can do without fern but id like to have the other 2

If Jesus wasn't fit for the bench today i cant see him being in the first 11 on thursday...but we can live in hope.....personally you could drop either KDB, Sane or sterling for him.........just not kun based on the last few performances in games

just hope on silva mate, just looked like an impact rather than a twist or pull, fingers crossed

If you ask around im sure you will find others that share your view.

Simply not acceptable. How on earth can the So called best manager in world football make us worse than we were under Pellegrini last season?

We can't win any big games, we can't defend, we can't hold leads. What's he done to us? Absolute FRAUD
I think the error is yours here. I agree Pep's first season has been a dissapointment. But it only highlights. How wrong those who bblamed Pellars for everything were

Similarly, it would be just as wrong to think Its all Pep's fault. He hasn't been great however. We have also been unlucky with the refs and poor with our play.

It pisses me off that we don't shoot more

Unfortunately we are unable to even hit the target when we shoot.
Today 20 shots with only 3 on target resulting in 1 goal.

Perhaps another 20 shots would have got us a draw or at least another 3 on target.

For heavens sake lets have some shooting practice.

Palace win is an unexpected bonus for us.

2 points behind Liverpool with two games in hand and with Utd's run its looking more likely than not we will finish in the top four.
