Arsenal(FA Cup Semi Final) Post Match Thread

And what good will that do? Sagna fined for a tweet, City fined for 'surrounding' the ref yet the rags have a brawl in a tunnel, Rooney refereeing the game again yesterday running 3 yards to have a go at Taylor, fuck all done.

If Pep had said something he'd get a touch line ban, i'm expecting Yaya to be banned now.

It's so fucking transparent mate.

To get it reported you have to bitch and moan take the punishment at least it be out there and people talking about it at the moment its what a great come back by Arsenal and not how we been cheated and refereed.

I think he is serious and I would be inclined to sell him too. No way will we move forward with this guy as a regular starter squad player at best.

you'd sell sterling ?. hes had one of his best seasons. some of the best assist stats in the league and hes only young. what have you been watching ? it would be absolutely ridiculous if we sold him.

hes one of the last players we should be selling.

You need fu*king glasses mate what about the one on Sergio ? maybe you also thought it was not a penalty or the ball really went out of play .i am not bitter i can accept defeat .i cannot accept bulshit

The worst decision of the lot was the one that lead eventually to the winning goal. How in God's good name was that not a foul on Yaya??

He was poor yesterday so naturally that means all the good work and improvement he's shown this season means nothing.
Far too many posters on here are short sighted and reactionary and it doesn't make pleasant reading. I grew up (naively) thinking that blues were unique in their support but over the last few years it seems we've got as many gobshites following us as everyone else.

im sick of it on here mate. as you say, as soon as we lose or a player has a bad game, then all his form beforehand doesn't count. and apparently we should sell. some city fans only see games or judge players on one game now. the same posters are no where to be seen when they play well or we play well.

Ah, he never does fail to disappoint you, eh Tom?

Didn't do an awful lot wrong yesterday at all. Won more aerials than any other defender on the park, had a higher pass accuracy than anyone on the park but Leroy Sane, made two key passes leading to goal scoring opportunities. Had a great game.

Sorry it doesn't fit your agenda.

Bravo didn't do an awful lot wrong either, was not at fault for either goal. But sure, Pep sabotaged the team's performance by playing Bravo.

Except it didn't. We attempted 7 shots, three of which were tap-ins that should have been goals (Delph's, for example) had three corners and two free kicks within 40 yards of goal in just 18 minutes post substitutions.

Except that never actually happens.

Imagine if our wrongly disallowed goal was given. Despite the so called "clueless" decisions by Pep, you actually wouldn't be here. You would be waiting for the next slip-up, perhaps against the rags, to get stuck in again. But still, you wouldn't be here now. That would have been nice.

Of all the bullshit statements I've seen in here, this one takes the biscuit.

You don't decide whether Pep needs a huge season to "make up". You aren't actually owed anything. The only people who are are our wonderful owners, without whom we'd be looking down at Fat Sam in the dugout, and if they are happy with Pep (and with a pending extension, it seems they are) then what you have to say is irrelevant.
So are you trying to suggest that next season is NOT a big one for Pep? It is of course more has gone wrong than right this season and it could yet get worse. So maybe you should open your eyes a bit more widely and perhaps you will see that things are not all that rosy in the garden. I am prepared to give this guy another season but unless as a minimum we are a close second in the league (especially if he gets another 200m to spend) I will be calling for his head.

Now why doesn't that surprise me. Only want to believe your own narrative I guess.
What's your narrative? It wasn't a penalty? Open your eyes! Have a look at the fucking fair play league! We are the most likely team to be booked or red carded for tackles despite dominating the possession almost every game. No team has more red cards than us in the league this season! Pay attention.

Was it a penalty against Southampton on Sane?
Was it a penalty against Leicester? Spurs? Liverpool? Arsenal?

When we won our titles United and Liverpool had plenty more penalties than us. We are NEVER favoured whereas other clubs are. Leicester for example had a record number awarded last season (13) with a joke 15% possession every game!

He has 7 assists in the league, it's hardly an irreplaceable number. Roberts could easily get that if given a chance next season.

Am i the only one who thinks Kevin was shit, and wasted that free role opportunity he got given to him.
Kev has been poor in central positions this season albeit he is playing deeper than last season. He looks much more effective crossing from the right or maybe that's because Navas is so poor

that doesnt count penalties won ? also do the champions league and other cups not count ? ( should of put overall in my first post)

I agree with you and have posted before on this. How is it possible that we get so many cards when we have the ball all the time.

Yesterday's penalty on reflection was one but not nearly as obvious as the one's on Raheem earlier this year. And a case could be made for Sanchez getting one as well which would have evened it up.

The cross from Leroy was a difficult call. It seemed almost impossible that it could have been in play. Although in fact it was. Very unlucky but don't think that was cheating.

Jermain Jenas said during radio commentary "how good it was to see Arsenal playing a tougher game" so clearly he approves of players setting out to cripple Silva and then a sly knee in the back on Aguero!
Oh for the days of Dave Ewing or Alfie Haland.

I'm getting tired of having to talk about the referees but it really feels like they want City fans to stop watching the game in disgust so the rag media can continue saying we have no fans. We need to get top 4 at all costs, beat the rags and then launch a full legal investigation into the whole referees association at the end of the season.
Pep is ruffling feathers at the PGMOL behind the scenes. That is why they are making an example of us! I'm not paying to watch this shit anymore. Always love City but these twats are deciding every result and it's taking the piss asking us for 50 quid every time. Especially at home.

So are you trying to suggest that next season is NOT a big one for Pep?

No? He's said as much himself.

It is of course more has gone wrong than right this season and it could yet get worse.

We've lost more games than won? What are you talking about?

So maybe you should open your eyes a bit more widely and perhaps you will see that things are not all that rosy in the garden.

I'm quite prepared to say things aren't so rosy, that's one big reason you're going to see a mass exodus this summer.

I am prepared to give this guy another season

How gracious of you, we should let him know!

but unless as a minimum we are a close second in the league (especially if he gets another 200m to spend) I will be calling for his head.

Why do you think anyone here should give a shit?

The entitlement in this post, and that which I responded to earlier, is shocking. Our owners have brought in Pep to transform the club as part of a long-term project that goes far beyond this season or even next. If they are happy with him and his progress then he'll continue to work and build and transform, as he was brought in to do.

I've said from the beginning that I believe we'll win a Champions League under Pep, but it wouldn't happen immediately or for some time. His style takes time for even talented youngsters to adapt to and half his squad he inherited from his predecessor's predecessor (and most of them are long past it)

Things may not seem so rosy for you or the moaners, but I'm pretty excited for the future under Pep Guardiola based on what I've seen, what he's added (see: Sane-Jesus-Sterling), and his determination to make it right.

But go ahead and get the "Pep Out" banners made and watch the whole damn football world laugh at us for our small-mindedness.

Glen Hoddle meanwhile claims that it doesn't matter how many injuries we have we can "deal with it". That's the prevailing attitude to our unjust treatment this season. The club know it and are fighting it privately. You can see the treatment is indicative of how our struggle for fairness is progressing.

Story of our season.
Stonewall penalty turned down.
Goal disallowed for no reason.
Navas and Clichy not one good cross in all day.
KDB poor again, Fernandhino all over the place.
Keeper goes the wrong way for the winner.
Didn't finish our opponents off.
Not one for blaming officials but we have been let down big time this season.

Sorry, don't post often so could have missed some earlier details. How do you know we are fighting this privately and do you have anymore details you can share?

Great post pal :-)

When is a fan going to create a compilation of the officials decisions going against us this season? We are going to need a few seasons to even them all out. Can't think of a game this season the referees and linesmen haven't tried it on. Calling out legit goals, calling us offside when we are on, conceding offside goals, getting more red cards than any other team in the league, watching opponents get away with red after red against us, repeated non penalty calls, booking our players for being fouled in the box, awarding soft penalties against us..........and on and fucking on. When will it stop?
