Bit gutted as City have briefed that they like Mbappe but won't go to 100 million for him this summer which is what Monaco are asking. Not whilst Sergio's still a City player.

Pickford is going to be the keeper we sign this summer. We'll land Mendy + Walker too IMO. Bonucci is going to bottle it again i fear. And it's Sanchez or Coman for the winger.

Only position i can't get a handle on is DM/CM. I hope it's not Carvallo.

any news on fabinho billy? surely we will go for another CB as well mate?

That seems fairly contrasting to everyone claiming we've definitely got Ederson.

Guesswork or insider info?

If we're signing anybody, it's Ederson. Pickford isn't a Pep keeper and if we want someone English there's Gunn or even Hart.

I'm not so sure Bonucci would bottle it this summer, given he would have made the move but for extenuating circumstances last window (son's illness), his public fallout with Allegri, and the fact this really would be Juve's last chance to cash in on him.

Sanchez looks pretty nailed on at present, Coman is surplus to requirements.

I think Mendy/Walker are reasonable options, but sound a bit safe and "current" to be anything other than guessing.

Jesus Christ if we sign Pickford I'm done.

He's no better than Angus Gunn, all he's had is the opportunity to play, unlike Gunn who was told to reject championship loans to stay close to the first team and learn off Pep and Bravo.

Ok, so you've exaggerated everything I said to make out I've advised to go out and kick / elbow heads all over the show
Im talking gamesmanship, knowing where to make a foul, where to take the opportunity of a yellow and when not to.
Raking your studs down the oppositions ankle is dirty, but they did it 15 mins into the game with the centre half's first tackle of the game
Say what you want, they walked the tight rope and gambled with the refs temper, and it worked. Silva went off and we lost control of the flow of the game

Calling my opinion, which you have weirdly over-egged, bollocks; just screams that you think you're right with no real basis.
The tears shed over some agenda is just pathetic. That ball was bloody close to going out, and I am certain if it was at our end, he would have flagged it out because to him it probably was, the lino is a human

I dont agree the ref cheated this weekend, he was just poor and the game and stage was too big for him

Walker would not get booked with his first challenge, again thats a presumption based on wanting to blame the refs for our flaws and lack of leadership in the side
He would be an excellent signing, prick or not.

Kyle Walker would get booked every game for us. There is no doubt that we concede far more yellow cards relative to possession and number of fouls than any other team in the top 4. Whether you agree with it being the referees or not is another matter.

Great post and the bolded bit is the most crucial part.

The weaknesses as such big weaknesses that sorting them would instantly take us from our current predicament and propel us into a title race. The ease with which teams can attack our full back areas and cause CB's to be dragged out thus creating space is ridiculous.

I'm resigned to the fact that this won't get better with the current personnel so it just a case of making the best of a bad situation this season and rectify things in the summer.

Thanks for the info Ahsan.

Do you have anything on Alli or Fabinho front. Surely if we are in for either Walker or Mendy, it will be unlikely that we could do double from either Spurs or Monaco?

See my post above. Pickford is coming to City. I'll be absolutely staggered if he doesn't considering who's saying it.

Walker stories have come from Wembley. City are without question front of the queue and it looks like Spurs are gonna sell. Mendy has come from French journalist so less concrete or sure.

I'm a bit baffled about Pickford. Those who know him and his attributes are saying that he's the perfect Pep keeper. And yet on our side whenever I hear from supporters it's generally "he's absolutely not a Pep keeper". Either way he'd already be a City player had he not got injured in Dec. A deal was agreed back then.

You are killing me here Ahsan. I can't remember the last time we signed 2 players I want less than Pickford and Walker.

Walker as well - he's just the exact opposite of the Alaba, Lahm, Kimmich- thoughtful, prepositionally aware and tactically flexible fullback - that w'eve been lead to believe Pep wants.
