It's Quiet - a new dawn

Plenty willing to pay £50m for Sanchez, including Juventus.

Pep also fancies Llorente as a target man, maybe Bony going back the other way.

Getting rid of Iheanacho for a 33 year old Llorente, Jesus Christ.

Another old player we'll not be able to get rid of as well, assuming he signs a 3 year contract which is the minimum we could hope for, that ties us to him until he's 36.

Pizarro at bayern munich?
Drogba at chelsea?
Larsson at bayern?
Not saying llorente is quite at that level but he would give us an extra option and has done well in the prem. Sign him on a two year deal, loan out kelechi

Drogba at Chelsea, a year long stint which yielded 4 goals and the main reason they don't have Lukaku anymore. Ask them if they'd do that again and I guarantee the answer is no.

Not exactly a convincing argument.

Van Persie was £22m.

Kroos was £20m in 2014.

Gundogan went for £21m last summer, fair enough injuries may have taken off 5-10m.

Mkhitaryan went for £27m after a season when he scored 23 goals and got 32 assists.

Hummels went for £30m - and he was going to a direct rival who the clubs can't stand.

Those are the ones which I can remember, if there's other top players who moved with a year to go they might add context but I doubt they'd be anywhere near £40m.

With Arsenal's only other choice being selling him to Chelsea, a move which their fans and Wenger would absolutely despise, £35m would be reasonable.

TBH all of those examples simply reinforce why I suspect it'll be around 40/50 million pounds. I appreciate why you could argue it should be 35 million but suspect it won't be IMO, it'll be more because he's a goalscorer, in his prime, and is moving from one PL club to another. As I say, in terms of inflation since 2012 it's been pretty wild. Hazard for 32 million in 2012 - Mbappe/Bernardo SIlva being talked about in the 80 million plus bracket with clubs ready to pay that.

Higuain went for £75m last summer, I imagine Sanchez would be going for something similar if there wasn't 1 year left on his contract. The transfers have similar circumstances otherwise
