It's Quiet - a new dawn

Firstly I'm engaging you, not AHSAN, I think I can ring him direct if I want that conversation...

And am I right or wrong?? There is nothing stipulated in a contract that player x has to play in his favoured position, it's the vision of the coach to convince 'player x' and we go from there...

As for silva, ffs man.. he's perfect for the pivot role... IN MY OPINION

You enjoy that, but If I quote someone else saying something, whether it's another poster on here or The Times, you can't turn around and say "it was you who said he has stated he doesn't want to play there". No, I quoted someone else saying that. There's a difference.

Are you wrong? You might well be, I haven't seen a whole load of player contracts, but that's redundant because as you said "it's the vision of the coach to convince 'player x' and we go from there" and if he's decided he doesn't want to play fullback then he's not going to be conned into playing there. The starting point for the whole conversation was that he had made that decision.

You actually think a midfield 3 of say, Bernardo Silva at Pivot with Merlin and KDB ahead of him would work?

Huh, Okay then. I doubt many else would. Have a nice Afternoon.

Don't put words in my mouth...

You've hung your hat on what someone else has said, that's clear by continuing the same narrative....

Who said that would be our midfield??? You presume as per, even with your conventional thinking behind how a fb position is viewed, maybe, just maybe, Fabinho could be convinced to how he views it also???

Anyway, you're right, as per, sorry billy is right, you're just a third party... have a great afternoon also!

I don't get Pickford at all. He's good but it sends a horrendous message to Angus Gunn who's rated just as highly as Pickford ever has been.

Maybe Pep just doesn't fancy him.

I like Angus Gunn, but I do question whether or not he is going to end up top quality.

That's not to say I think Pickford will either.

It's an interesting concept that we got bullied by Arsenal.

We conceded TWENTY free kicks. We had SIXTY SIX PECENT of the ball. TWENTY fucking free kicks during the 34% Arsenal had. TWENTY.

We got FOULED by Arsenal, but they got as many free kicks, in their 34% as we did in our 66%. So if we had 'bullied' like Arsenal did, we would have conceded FORTY, yes FORTY free kicks. One every two minutes.

I wish people would stop talking utter nonsense about this.

Kyle Walker would just get booked for his first foul if he'd played with a Ciy shirt on & for his 10th if he'd been playing for Arsenal.

The idea that we can sign a bunch of nasty fucks who 'bully' people & get away with it, is bollocks, we will not get away with it, unless we also bring in someone like Mourinho & change our shirts to red.
Also it should be noted that Komps and Otamendi actually can be bullies. Unfortunately they get called for fouls every time they act tough. Its hard to be a bully if the refs wouldn't let you.

I Feared the worst with the Pickford scouting. He had a bad collarbone break just a few months back.

Sergio is still the key, if he does decide to leave, then we have laid down our markers on Mbappe and Griezmann.

We won't telegraph the situation on Kun, that's for sure.

I agree to an extent, however, the measurable difference of having two 'thoroughbreds' at full back will elevate our retention of the ball. A great deal of what we're seeing re:sane and sterling (both shattered), is because of the burden put on them from a defensive standpoint, not that this won't exist but it won't be as frequent..... our attack continues to be slow in its build up due to the inability to get out and move beyond the midfield lines, it's integral to what pep is trying to achieve (imo)!!
True. My original position has always been we only have 3 needs. A keeper, a Leftback and a Rightback. Everything else is okay. That said, I'd like us to push a few starters to the bench ain those 'Okay' positions.

So next year I want Silva and Debryune challenged for their spot. Either by Gundogan if he is healthy or by someone new if Gundogan is the DM.

O want someone challenging Sane and Sterling as a speed winger. Be that Danchez, Coman or Costa. Any one of them will do.

I'm happy Jesus challenged Aguero. Now he plays harder, even though many don't recognize it. And he is scoring for fun. That's what I want at most positions. Legitimate competition.

We have it at CB and Striker currently, but no where else. And norhing at fullback or starting keeper.

Do you know what offers Kun has at all? Like, has a massive bid come in from Madrid and we are just waiting for him to decide if he wants it, or is it more, oh will Kun stay if he thinks he will be sitting out games here and there..
