It's Quiet - a new dawn

no mate no one is any the wiser. there have been other clues and videos but no obvious hint as to who the players are. some folk think VVD is a deal agreed but nothing concrete on any player yet.

Cheers fella. He'd be a top signing, watched him loads for Celtic and Southampton and he excelled, including CL matches.

Buying Sanchez would be a Van Persie moment.

Works extremely hard, knows Pep's system and is one of the best players in the PL. The league is ours if Sanchez joins. An improved defense and new goalie and we could really challenge for the CL. Having Sane, Sterling, Jesus and Sanchez means we have 3 top class players starting and a game changer coming off the bench every game.

fabihno and henrichs as new full backs would be fantastic signings.

We need another centre half regardless of whether Vinnie is fit or not...ottomendi and Kolarov (regardless of his improvement) are not good enough.

A central midfielder - yaya is going probably and ferna wont last much longer....and is Ilky reliable enough fitness wise?????? - possibly need two...delph ok but limited

a goal keeper needs to be number one priority - bravo needs to be gone asap....he just aint upto it....his performances have been extremely poor and despite what Pepe says about his distribution....most keepers could make the passes he makes baring one or two every now and again.....even hart could as there is nothing technically difficult about them.....we all know harts technical ability isn't the reason he was moved on...it was down to changing room personality and it not fitting what pep wants....either way we need better than bravo

attackers.....i can see the point of a plan b (i.e. a tall striker who is good/strong in the air......pep has hinted at this pretty much all the way through the season about how hard it is to break teams down when they park the bus (which virtually every team baring liverpool and spurs do),,,whether thats Llorente or someone else I'm fine with that...who ever it is will have to be happy to play as a back up/sqyad player so its either going to be someone at the end of their career or a young unknown

on sanchez........fantastic player but would i want him instead of Kun....no....Aguero has shown that he is willing and able to play the way Pep wants and still score......If Kun wants to go I would question why he feels that way as well. an attack of kun GJ and Sane/sterling plus a plan b striker is pretty damn good and is not improved by adding sanchez in there and taking kun out of it..

Sell
Bravo
Kolarov
Navas
Fernando
Ottomendi
Hart

Let go with our best wishes:
zabba

Clichy and Sagna can stay as back ups no more unless there are other players willing to do that....either way neither should be first choice next season and id rather others replace them if push comes to shove.
If my instincts are right, we simply won't resign anyone out of contract: Meaning
Gone:
Zaba
Clichy
Sagna
Navas
Willy
Yaya
We won't bring back any Senior player on loan, So also gone.
Hart
Nasri
Bony
Mangala

Now if we want to improve the squad we will need
2 LB
2 RB
1 GK
1 DM
1 Attacking option (dependent)
1 Central Back option (dependent)

How we go about addressing the above is depends on a lot of things.
Given the choice, I'll bring back 2 youngsters to man backup roles at the fullback positions
Maffeo and Zichenko, then buy good starting fullbacks. Hernandez and Karsdorp will be my choices. 35 million and bringing back 2 youth players with the technical skills of Z and Maffeo and we are set at Fullback.

Sell Kompany and buy Laporte. We have balance at CB (I'd rather have VVD but he doesn't give the best balance and his injury situation is up in the air. So Laporte will do.)

In midfield, I'd sell Delph, Fernando and Yaya leaves anyway. Replace all 3 with just Paredes. Which gives us 5 players for 3 positions. Dihno, Silva, Gundogan, Debryune, Paredes. Loan out Garcia and he can have Dihno's spot in a year.

Our attack has the right number of players to positions. Aguero, Sterling, Sane, Jesus. Then augment with youth. So the Sanchez interest can only mean Aguero is leaving in other to keep the 4 starter material balance.

And then Sancho or Diaz or Dozen can get sub games here and there. Oh yes, loan Kelechi too.

As for Roberts and Moreno, what I've seen makes me clean towards neither making it here.

If Arsenal offered £20m+Alexis for Aguero would you take it?
Absolutely not. Aguero is a different class completely to Giroud and they'd be able to put a very talented 3 behind him even without Sanchez, they'd be a serious threat to us next season.
