Makes far more sense extending Yaya's contract than Navas. Yaya offers us that control in big games, and even if he plays a bit part role, he brings a winning mentality and that drive in CM.
I can understand extending Navas because of his versatility. I cannot understand extending Toure.
Here's an explanation for you then:
When Yaya comes on or in he can play well, when Navas comes on or in he does shit.
I think the overhaul that's needed is so big we can't afford to do it in One window, that's the reason for these 1 year contract's being offered.

Very stupid of you to bring the whole cake thing up, that's something I would expect from a rag. We all know the media were behind the cake saga. I understand you were trying to be funny but yaya has attained legend status here and played a very important rule in the 2011/2012 and 2013/2014 title run in. Show some respect.
Hopefully they will now sell Fernandinho who had turned to shit this season.
Can't keep both surely.
He's done that to an extent all 4 seasons he's been here - started off in flying form and then gotten progressively worse as the season went on. Bit of a worrying trend as the prizes are decided at the latter end. The other worrying thing for me is that if I was ranking his seasons from best to worst 13/14 would be highest and this season lowest. Reckon he'll be a squad player at most next season if he's still here.Fernandinho hasn't been shit all year anyway. He was decent earlier in the season.

That's because we are over working him. No decent cover, No one supporting him when he's vulnerable. in Chelsea, Kante has Matic to cover for him and vice versa, then there's Moses and Alonso who come in deep in the midfield to provide extra cover for Kante. Here we have Dinho playing alongside an ageing Yaya, light weight KDB and Silva.
Or it could be he just doesn't have the engine for the role? He closed out last season in a 2 with Fernando and it didn't help. That's because we are over working him. Indeed. He is underrated by many for some reason.
