Jeff Stelling

Such an important game yet he couldn't be there to support them?

And why does he need to wear a stab vest in the studio?

Very good.

Feel sorry for any club that falls out of the Leagues. So many of the teams whose names I grew up knowing now seem to be in the Conference, or even lower.

Dont think Karen7 should bother quoting any of the drivel you have vomited on this board.
According to you england are great, snodgrass is a good player, leicester city won their title fair and square and there is no corruption in the premier league
Why the hell would anyone quote what you have to say?

Your the one that thinks Pep is a big gay bear and also said in the past that Vincent Kompany is not a patch on John Stones

Buzzing they went down, even happier he got the joy of a few minutes where everything was in his teams favour. He needs to fuck off with a new panel involved

Relegation is no fun and I suspect relegation from the FL is worse than from any of the 3 divisions above, but it's better than the almost closed-shop re-election system we had before automatic promotion and relegation between the 4th and 5th tiers.
Lincoln, Newport, Colchester, Doncaster, Barnet, Carlisle, Torquay, Oxford, York and Mansfield have all dropped out and returned in the past 30 years, and Tranmere or Dag 'n' Rag could do it this season.

I'd say for racial abuse that's his prerogative, and in anyone's choice - justified.

Yeah it's a bit odd people are questioning why he would still hold a grudge after being racially abused. Very strange people on here. Probably the same people who have no reason to hate spurs but from the 81 cup final.....

I only feel sorry for some clubs and some fans. Stelling isn't one of them!

I try terribly hard not to identify clubs with individuals, and I sense it must be heartbreaking for certain communities when their team fall out of the league, especially those where there has been precious little else to sustain them in recent decades. Of course, that disappointment has to be tempered with the joy it brings those clubs who do succeed and do gain promotion. Regardless of my proclaimed virtuosity, I have to admit savouring a frisson of Schadenfreude when I see where Halifax now wallow... :-)

Feel sorry for Hartlepool and their fans except for Stelling. He constantly has sly digs at City (not sure what we have done in the past to upset the txxt)

Yesterday the Sky Panel should have remained impartial. I wonder what Newport fans made of it all!

I watched York v Forest Green a week or two ago on BT, and I did think back to 'York away' and then though 'kinell!

maybe it's just me but I've never really see the major fuss over being relegated from League 2, you're just being relegated like many other teams across many other leagues. Of course you don't want to get relegated but it's hardly the end of the world.

I'm glad Hartlepool finally went down. Apart from a very few seasons, ever since I was a kid they've been absolute shite. They hold the record for the number of times a club has had to apply fior re-election (11) but they survived each year when better clubs failed to be re-elected. Gateshead were kicked out of the League the first and only time they had to apply for re-election in 1960. They were only 3rd bottom while Hartlepool were bottom.

Some teams bounce back for sure, even if it takes them a few seasons. On the other hand the likes of Hereford, Scarborough, Maidstone, Boston, Stockport and now York have all slipped further down the pyramid, some a long way further down.

Didn't four of those go bust or nearly go bust and have to restructure? York (this season) and Snackpot have only dropped one level lower.
