MOTD did the right thing by getting shut of Hansen and Lawrenson, and changing the style. They've become dinosaurs. The game has moved on. Bring in some fresh blood. They can manage without Stelling too. Last week, Julian Warren did the same thing, had all the stats and tidbits Stelling did, they get it fed from their earpiece. I honestly wouldn't miss him.

He's not working for the BBC, I don't think he has any responsibility to be impartial whatsoever, and Sky pay him to share his opinion on football as well as present, it's a core part of the show.
He's also both a Hartlepool fan and honorary president of the club, so it's every bit to do with him.
