It's Quiet - a new dawn

no, it was Stones and Laporte. Pep wanted both

I suspect Pep wanted to play a back three with Laporte on the left.

That ship also may not have sailed as I know many here know we may try to sign Laporte again this summer and trigger his release clause. With Vinny seemingly back, and Nico and Kola likely being here again next season, bringing in another young defender who can also play as a left back with our situation with players for that position would make him quite useful.

Wasnt it a case of stones or laporte? Of so, that ship has sailed.

The article even mentions City are still interested in him, though the author believes the allure of London (of all things) would tip the scales in Chelsea's favour.

All in, it's a weird suggestion. His skillset would be wasted in a Conte team and he's probably not as defensively solid as they require.

Oh well, if this is who they choose to blow their load of Costa money on, then fair dos. I'd love him at City even still but €65m may just be a bridge too far.

I really hope we abandon this 3 at the back idea where would 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 leave our attacking players sterling, sana, kdb, jesus, silva wouldn't fit into a system that plays 3 at the back its got to be 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 unless we are gonna rip our squad apart and start again.

Laporte literally back stabbed us last summer, i don't care what he does or where he moves. I don't want him playing for us.

Not if you play an incredibly attacking 3 at the back like we did at Everton in October. We started 5 attackers in that game.

Wow that is a pathetic response to getting your ass handed to you with actual facts.

'Ass handed to me'. You don't really warrant a response with jibes that poor.

Anyway, you'd need 12 hours a day to write responses to certain know it alls. Unfortunately I don't have time.

Surely he would play more at city? We need that left sided defender and chelsea are well stocked with centre halves. Not too worried about the cost, we have to go big because the other teams will.
