Thought he gave a solid performance tonight, but wtf was that back splat thing he did in the second half after he wiggled through to get a shot tipped over? If i'd have done that i wouldn't be walking for a week!

  • PL: 6 goals, 3 assists
  • FA Cup: 1 assist
  • 651 minutes played
  • Goal or Assist every 59 minutes
Could have had a couple more tonight if he went for the outside of the foot curler.

We are so lucky to have Jesus play for us.

He is performing at a very high level every match. He is the Brazil centre forward. He is 19.

He was in the right place tonight. That is a skill, ask Gary Lineker, a great English striker. Jesus has a lot more than goals to his game though. Awareness & team play as well as clinical finishes. I just love his composure.

Enjoy.

Was he all that tonight still looks rusty to me

Similar to my thoughts

He clearly knows where the net is, has good work rate and is a team player. But, like any young player, especially one that is new to the league, needs time to settle and get up to speed

That said, I'm sure I've just read on Twitter that he has more League goals this season than Rashford

6 goals and 4 assists in what has essentially been 7 games for City (excluding Bournemouth, United and Tottenham when he played 15 mins or fewer). In fact, he's managed at least one goal or assist in every single game where he's played over 15 mins for City. That record is unheard of and he will be a very special player.

Reminds me of Iheanacho's stats when he first broke through.

The difference is that Kelechi was scoring off the bench, and Jesus is starting.

Whether that makes Iheanacho or Jesus' more impressive I'm not sure - on the one hand Jesus has more time to do it, on the other Iheanacho was playing against some very tired defences when we were just chucking everyone forward to get a goal.

The way he chucked himself at the ball, to try & keep it alive/make something happen, when DeBruyne scored, is an element we have missed since Tevez went.

It rubbed off on Aguero too, loved seeing the moment where they both sprinted to the ball, Aguero just kept it in, and Jesus picked it up on the touchline to carry on the attack.

Infinitely better than Iheanacho's stats when he first broke through. More minutes, more goals, more assists. Add that to the fact that Jesus had already 'broken through' when he joined us.

I've been most impressed with his attitude thus far. He had the audacity to lambaste Yaya for a poor pass against Leicester.

He looks a bit out of form (compared to his pre-surgery stint with us) and still makes a great impact. I honestly don't see Aguero in first 11 next year.

He certainly has some sublime bits of skill, he covers an awful lot of ground during a game, be interested what distance he covered yesterday. His goal stats are impressive anyway, but he's also unlucky to have had a couple disallowed too.

More league goals now than Rashford.
Have the BBC mentioned this yet ?
