City are such a soulless club now, it's just spend, spend, spend. It quite mind numbing reading about their future plans, all about money and no romance at all. Also if half these rumours are true what chance do any of their talented young players stand, especially if they are buying so much young talent, it actually makes you wonder why they sign these academy players in the first place. Very depressing to be honest.

Ha Ha Didums. To be fair though most posts realise we will be the real deal next season and rate Silva as a great acquisition.
 
Funniest part of it all for me is that we take the transfer fee with a pinch of salt nowadays, lol.

I've just looked at the Telegraph back page and it sank in when I read it, "City splash £44million"

£44fucking million! We could have only dreamed of paying that kind of figure not long ago yet now it's like chicken feed.

I quite like Jenas, as he usually talks sense, but that is not a very well thought-out argument.

Merlin can't go on forever and bringing in better quality players means we can rotate more without the drop-off in performance that often happens.
 
Great signing no doubt. Another small magician with the name Silva.
Let's hope he lives up to expectations. That's all I want. Because if he does he will be a bargain.
 
Guys best of luck to you from a Portuguese Benfica fan. Love the football of Bernardo. A bit sad that our manager at the time didn't use the talent of Bernardo. Good luck City!

It's jealously pure and simple. Do you think if the shoe was on their foot and they were buying such talented young players they would be crying about no romance or about academy players? Would they fuck they'd be jumping for joy like we are. Bitter twats the lot of them.

Hi @Benfica1904 welcome to the site. What is your view on him as i admit i have not watched Monaco much besides kicking the shit out of us xD

Also, stick around bud, it is always nice to have opinions from other teams fans :-)

It was not. He was always an offensive midfielder on youth and reserves team. In Benfica principal team he only play part of the pre-season. The manager which is an asshole attitude in regard to youth players, used him at LB on pre-season some time. He left to Monaco because the massive talent he had was being neglected by our coach. We get rid of this coach now, fortunately.

I am also an Benfica fan. For us Benfica supporters, is a dual feeling. We love seeing Bernardo get success outside, but it's like a knife in our heart he didn't have the opportunity to win on his club.

Utd really need to look at retagging the dippers with that now, even redcafe pulls up the super red tinted spec guys who would try to call us that, especially these days. Some of the more honest utd fans would probably tag themselves as bitter and to be fair a few have owned up so fair fucks to those ****s i guess.

Bitter Bertie? i think Bitter bin dippers is a more accurate reflection of the current state of the fan landscape.

Bernardo was playing in the youth teams of Benfica since he was a child. Since that time everyone saw that the kid was special. Huge talent and pretty humble and intelligent. The Benfica fans love him because he allways showed appreciation for Benfica,. He have a tattoo of the teams phrase symbol 'et pluribus unum'. I think you guys did the right move with him. If he continues to improve he can be balon d'or material in the future.
Sorry for my bad English :) and I will keep following you guys and next season I'm supporting you guys for the title

Exactly,I don't remember us whining when they were big players in the transfer market and we had zilch. Bitter doesn't do them justice.
