Ok, as my post in French was deleted, I'll repeat in English.

Afrenchguy, I'm more than confident that my level of French far exceeds your level of English, and my simple point is that your often arrogant way of posting (perhaps a lack of finesse due to your inability to express yourself appropriately in the foreign language that you have chosen to adopt) wins you no points.

You don't have to be a wanker to get your point across.

so .... back to the more important topic worth discussing in here ... any further updates on Fabinho?

Tres bon ;-)

Except Semedo is no midfielder.
Fabinho would predominantly be a midfielder but would be our back up to Walker (Assuming we sign him). If Yaya stays then we don't need to sign a midfielder for another year, especially with Bernardo joining, meaning we would need another right back, enter Semedo.

I strongly disagree.

Hate doing this, but my United mate is telling me Matuidi is United's target as they feel they've lost out to City with Fabinho.

Going to regret sharing but I DESPERATELY hope it's true.

Afrenchguy: So we get a bad reputation with Monaco fans? Big wow. I'd blame your owner if any of this doomsday scenario comes to pass (and thats a big if) as he would clearly not be trying to keep them as the money would clearly be right for him to buy replacements.
And on that score, you got Tielmans ahead of us and we're not moaning.

Signing fabinho would be massive for the first time in a while we would have a cdm that can actually defend has good work rate and is sound technically. most important signing imo

This season he's not been. Come in, rightly IMO, for a load of stick from PSG fans, and is around the 30 mark to boot.

Now Verratti on the other hand...

Matuidi is probably a better player in all honesty.
Great defensive player. But thats Peg all over -> strong defence + counter attack football. Fabinho is much more suited to the football that Pep would like to play. Possibly the closest player I have seen in recent years to Colin Bell. In the games against us in the CL this season he was box-to-box magnificence.
