Absolutely. If that is what the market is going to be for CBs, I'd rather focus in getting Walker and Mendy signed and go into the season with Otamendi and VK with Stones, Kolarov and Tosin as backups than spend that kind of money.

Good job you aren't spending the money because as soon as Kompany would be injured and we play Kolarov and Stones at CB we will be losing games left right and centre. VVD is competent and would be a good partner for Stones.Absolutely.
