I have said all along that the most important reason for signing either, would imo be to stop them going to any of our rivals.

Sanchez or Mbappe are good enough to take the rags for example, up a level, irrespective of their uninspired, wierdo manager & misalligned squad.

But purely from the point of view of our own squad, imo we are mint if we sign the other players linked & those two are a bonus.

Edit: signing Fabinho would also be an advantage but even without, we are still looking brilliant.

I don't class the rags as our rivals they are weaker than they started last season and don't seem to have the money people think they have (up front ) they need 2 fullbacks a center back central mid and 3 forwards to have a squad anywhere near ours.
