Better tell Pep before he makes any more video related blunders then.

Which are his video related blunders you are referring to ?

My point is, fans with little real knowledge of players want the club to spend 120 million on an unproven kid.

The same fans are also up in arms about an increase in season card prices.

Although normally I would not advocate overspending, I agree that we do actually need to spend big again.

We've waited a period of time for Pep, some may say at the expense of the clubs progression. Our stock with Pep at the helm will never be higher. We should capitalise to really try to kick the clubs progression on to another level, we may not get this chance again.

I agree we need to spend big, but not deliberately overspend which is what you advocated

It's not about 'wanting' to spend 120 mil, it's about it unfortunately becoming the going rate. The rags have wrecked the transfer market & most of the best young players are going to cost ridiculous fees. We either produce our own, pay it, or watch Utd, Real etc grab all the best ones for themselves.

I think he will move at slightly less than that, but it will be a stupid fee. And the reason so many clubs are thinking about it, is because they are pretty sure what they are getting, is already worth a lot of money, even if he never gets any better.

I think that Mbappe wants to play for RM - but not in this window. This window he wants to be guaranteed starting time to maximize his chances of playing for France in the upcoming World Cup.

I think that Mbappe stays at Monaco next season.
================
That said - I think it's crazy not to sign Mbappe even if he costs 120 mil plus - I'd even put into contract a guaranteed starting position in our squad - Mbappe seems to be the next generation's top player - so taking a huge chance on him is worthwhile - stilll, I very much doubt he'll move from Monaco.

Mbappe staying at Monaco for another season is wise and best for all parties, if he plays well and heads to world cup and does well there too, his price will sky rocket to 150M, but we'll know he is worth it more than you know it now.

Madrid will use Morata and James money for Mbappe. But anuyway i am glad that he will not join PL side.

Agreed, but as the article suggests, it'll be Mbappe's decision in the end.

Problem is, Mbappe is a boyhood Madrid fan and Zidane is his footballing idol. Further, there's a clear path to undisputed first team play with the aging Fake Ronaldo there. With City, it's complicated.

IMO he stays at Monaco (and we look at an Aguero replacement another year) or he's off to los blancos

I thought he would sign a contract extention with Monaco but thinking about it, i doubt another year there will increase his market value anymore.

Im now thinking Monaco will sell Mbappe for a world record (to Real most likely)..

If they continue to sell Lemar, Bakayoko, Mendy, Mbappe etc they will have to do a massive rebuilding job.

Monaco would take a massive risk not to sell at the figures quoted a big injury or a poor season could half that money. I think he will replace benzema who may finally go to arsenal

I think this is the likely outcome. He is perfect for Madrid as well, gives them a young superstar to replace Ronaldo, links to zidane, gives them the world transfer record again. As much as I'd like him, I'm not expecting anything but him going to Madrid after he leaves Monaco whenever that may be.

I can certainly see what the hype is about with Mbappe but I think his price has been boosted by the fact that he scored good goals against us and Dortmund in the CL.

He's still very, very raw. I would even say that Martial is more polished with the ball at his feet but doesn't have the same strikers instinct.

He does remind me of Henry and I think he would be most suited to the PL rather that La Liga but I still can't make my mind up about his true worth. A lot of the goals he scored in the league last season were low finishes that tended to go through the keeper or somehow still find the net despite not being anywhere near the corners - the goals said more about the standard of Ligue 1 goalkeeping than it did about his finishing ability. It's also worth mentioning that Falcao was absolutely on fire last season so again, is it the league, or is it the player.

If I were to take a punt, I'd say he's going to be a hit wherever he goes, but I wouldn't touch him at the price being mooted. I'm like 80% sure he will be an Henry and 20% worried he could be a Ryan Babel. If I was Real I'd honestly look at Martial for about a third of the price. I don't seriously think we would be in for him. I think Jesus is the bigger talent personally, although that opinion might change when Mbappe does move to a better league.

It has to be Sanchez or Mbappe. It can't be both, unless we're to offload one of our other forwards and the is only likely to be Sergio which I don't see happening.

If Sanchez does sign and Mbappe is possible , maybe Sterling would be sacrificed.
