Granted, but the purchase price was €38 million. Buffon €50 million. So he is only the most expensive keeper in the World in the UK but the second most expensive keeper in Europe?

It's a moot point, as I think we've got a great keeper and will hopefully be worth every penny.
I just get sick of the media, Liverpool we're about to complete a £70 million swoop for VVD, we were offering a £100 million deal. Why not say $134,000,000 deal? Sensationalise it a little more?
What if the pound spikes against the Euro tomorrow? Do we pay Benfica in the £ sterling fee we agreed? Or do we pay then the € fee we agreed?
We've paid €40 million. That's what we owe, regardless of currency trends.

Don't worry though, Sky are leading with Ibrahimovic deal unlikely & the Pogba did ok stories.

Hahaha that was their lead story at 7 o clock zoltan not being offered another year Carlton waxing lyrical over him a few other stories then a brief mention that we signed a keeper ..
