Can anyone explain to me how €38 million is higher than €51 million?

I keep reading he's the most expensive keeper ever.

This lad really looks to have all the tools, very excited about him.

Because of the £/€ exchange rate.

So it's a stirling world record, but not a Euro one.

What's with the Arsene Wenger tattoo?

Muffin/Barm

I thought he was from Brazil, not Burnley the six fingered twat. Fuck him off.

Great signing, can't wait to see him in a City shirt. Only seen the videos of him like most others but the bravery and timing of his 1v1's looks brilliant, exactly what we need after the timid performances of Bravo.

Hey, if he has twelve fingers wouldn't he be a better keeper?

Going to be a great signing IMO

Has supreme confidence and is a little crazy which is always a good trait for keepers to have. Hopefully he is already beginning to learn English and can hit the ground running. He will be Brazil's #1 by the end of next season.

Now lets get the defenders in early so they can all begin to gel as quickly as possible and be ready for the new season.

I get that, but we didn't buy him in £'s we bought him Euro. So he's no where near the most expensive keeper in the world.

The conversion is just another sad attempt to hike up the price.

Buffon was near €18 million cheaper.

The desperation to paint us different to any other is boring. Buffon was never converted to £'s as he was never bought in £'s.
The measurement is Euros as they were both bought in Euros. For me anyway.

Who even cares if he's the most expensive keeper in the world. It's a stat that doesn't really tell the full story. I think most people are fully aware that there are a fair few keepers who, if they were to move, would cost a hell of a lot more. Top keepers just don't move around much. Comparing it to the Buffon fee makes even less sense given that was such a long time ago. Being able to improve any one of our starting 11 for around £30m isnt bad at all in today's market.
