Hard brexit is dead now, the DUP will almost certainly make a soft brexit a condition for joining a coalition. I know that first hand.

That's what most thought about Corbyn. Having said that, it's quite possible that Labour would have won with a different leader. Doing better better than expected is perhaps more of a reflection of how low expectations of Corbyn were.
