Ignoring their monetary values if sold on, Kolorov would be the one who should be worried IMO

But the monetary values can't be ignored if we're spending 300m this summer, hence why we're selling players like Kelechi. Also Pep loves Kolarov's left footedness and build up, and it might come down to Otamendi being told he's going to be 4th choice, is he going to be happy with that? Kolarov would be, he's old and leaving next summer anyway, but Nico is supposed to be in his prime, and if he's got any half decent offers to start somewhere...

If anyone wants him I'd think it's likely. There's enough room in the squad for 4 CBs And Otamendi is kind of the most obvious one to go.

Assuming Stones is the long term Pep project, the guy he sees as his Pique. Regardless of how dodgy he was at times last season Pep thinks he'll be one of the best so he has to play.

Kompany will probably play when fit, and Bonucci would play always.

So if you're looking at bonucci-Stones, Stones-Kompany and Bonucci-Kompany as the first choice pairings depending on Kompanys fitness, then is there going to be enough playing time for Otamendi to be happy?

There's probably enough time for Kolarov or maybe Fernandinho to pop into the side as a rotation option if 2 of those first choice 3 are injured, but not another. Plus Pep loves Kolarov for his left footedness

I think it'll come down to numbers and who can be shifted out, but it wouldn't surprise me if Otamendi stays and Kolarov goes either if some Turkish team wants Kolarov for a couple mil.

Wouldn't have Otamendi as the one to go, think he started to show his worth when Kompany came back into the side, more likely to tell Kolarov there's no room for him in the squad.

At the moment i'd rank our centre backs:
1) Kompany
2) Otamendi
=3) Stones
=3) Kolarov

Not only do we need a centre back to strengthen we also need a centre back as cover in case something happens to Kompany (touch wood it doesn't). If we kept Otamendi it would also give us more options tactical (3 at the back with one on the bench as cover).

No, I agree it makes sense, but on ability Kolorov is much the weaker

That DeployLeroy account on twitter that first said someone was at the CFA then that his mate took a selfie with him but couldn't upload it until after he signs just replied to a tweet to someone saying this unnamed player was a defender. He had previously said it came out of nowhere similar to the Bernardo situation and he acted very surprised and called him a top player. Should be interesting unless of course he's just chatting shit
1 random on twitter with no link to his account so we could check him out was always going to be nonsense,i can't believe so many pages added for that lol

Personally, I think he's chatting shit. If you offer honest information you don't have to spend the next ten hours repeating "believe me" to anyone who questions you, you just wait for it to happen. Do you see Tolmie begging for people to trust him? MCRjon? Ric? No, they just drop whatever info they want and fuck off. Apart from Tolmie who seems to enjoy the game a bit more than the rest but he still doesn't seem to give a shit about any doubters.

I think DeployLeroy is just another Shane Burns.

If we buy Bonucci, Otamendi will be 4th choice because Stones is Peps long term project and I can't see him being happy with that.

Bertrand hasn't played in a back 3 too so if he comes then we wouldn't even need more numbers than that.

Anyone think she might be an ITK ?

Karen didn't post the info but was the one that questioned it no?

Thats fine all twitter should be taken with a pinch of salt. The one thing we have learned though is good information can come from the least likely sources and unknown people accidently stumbling onto something. The papers and media are usually way behind. As long as nobody takes it too seriously whats the harm.

Sam Lee as with all journos read forums for info..... especially if they have 'proclaimed in the knows' , we have 3/4 who could convince half the forum we are buying anyone in one post, since they dangle out the arse of said posters....journos repeat, and instantly become 'reliable'.
