It's Quiet - a new dawn

No that's not true.

We can be punished despite clearing it with FIFA if CAS decides that FIFA's advice was wrong.

It's stupid, but it can happen. It's the equivalent of your lawyer telling you something's legal and you doing something illegal after he's cleared it. You can sue the lawyer for incompetence, but you still committed the crime, and don't avoid punishment.

We could then appeal based on the fact FIFA told us we were in the clear, but that would happen after we got punished by CAS.

I think you may be wrong.

To use your legal analogy it is like a lawyer going to the government and being advised by the goverment that his client has acted within the law. Someone then submits a challenge to the European courts about the goverment on that point of law. Now depending on that outcome there are a number of solutions. That particular deal could bet set aside, the rules in the future may be amended but the least likely outcome is that the client will be banned from trading.

City Watch just tweeted something from Goal saying that City are lining up a big-money move for a centre back in a deal that is shrouded in secrecy. Sorry, can't copy from twitter at work.
Might be the Roma CB Rudiger
It's Boateng IIRC. There was a user who said as much a couple days ago. He correctly predicted Fellaini to the Rags, Negredo/Navas to us etc. He hasn't posted here or on twitter since that transfer window several years ago, he isn't 100% correct but I'd wager he's got some really good sources and is right about 90% of the time. To be completely honest for all of our "targets" this summer, I just hope that we sign Mendy, since Alves appears done and dusted.

Just like how they had a field day when UEFA fucked us over by changing the FFP rules after we submitted our results?
I somehow don`t think it would happen again. As Khaldoon said at the time "we will take a pinch this time" which indicates to me,if a second time around did appear then expect City to fight like hell. Can`t see HH putting up with any more shenanigans with UEFA or FIFA.

Another topic on the transfer forum says it’s possible we could sell/loan a total of 20 players out. Seems feasible.
It’s also rumoured we could sign 8 first teamers and probably some younger players too for the EDS under 18s etc.

So that’s over 30 deals potentially to be done by August 31st!

That works out something like a deal of some sort every 2 days on average.... We’ve done the hard work now people of boring days of nothing (well 3 weeks ha) the fun should be just around the corner!!!

Dani Alves tomorrow! Mark my words and then we are off.... (It’s a guess not ITK)

So do we think Boateng can fetch BIG MONEY, not sure with recent injuries and being left out by Carlo toward the end of season he would cost BIG MONEY

Well I guess that depends on what you consider to be BIG MONEY. I'd wager he'll cost us £50-70m. He's turning 29 in September, but I think he has 3-4 really good years ahead of him and and if Souton are pricing VVD at £60m I'd much prefer Boateng. He'll allow us to develop Stones and Tosin by the time he begins to fall off, plus he can potentially help us to win a CL and is a real leader on the pitch if Kompany is injured...not to mention that he's one of ours.

Imagine if we are doing an announce 4 all in the same day like Sven and Frank did with Elano, Garrido etc

Personally I think the ITKs have gone dark because there isn't anything more they can say. The deals are all done, and the lack of movement from the club is for reasons they can't say for certain, so why bother. Maybe the players are on holiday, maybe they're waiting for bonuses to be paid, maybe this shit with Eduardo Mauri wanting to leave is slowing things down, maybe they're waiting for shirt numbers to free up, maybe Txiki just had a bad kebab and has the hershey squirts so doesn't want to pose for photos.

If they come in with a '110% sure' or 'two by tuesday week' they just get shit for it so why risk it. They've told us everything the can.

That said, I'm bored, so in the interests of transfer discussion: What about Ginter or Koulibaly for the CB spot?

Ginter has superb passing range, but I have no idea if Dortmund would be interested, and Koulibaly is better with his feet than most and is also built like a brick shithouse which would suit the physicality side of things - but obvious Napoli suck to deal with.
