A few posters on Arsenal Mania reckon that those quotes from Sanchez weren't entirely negative in respect of whether he's staying with them. One reckons that the reason why he said he couldn't say where his future lies is because the Arsenal board want to announce his and Ozil's new contracts at the same time. I guess that's not totally beyond the realms of possibility but I think it's probably wishful thinking. Surely if they'd both agreed new contracts then Arsenal would want to announce that straight away - just because Sanchez is on international duty it doesn't stop anything being announced. Whereas if he had an agreement to join another club, he'd have to keep quiet until Arsenal agree to sell him.

Arsenal dont appear to run a tight ship though. The world knew Wenger was staying long before they announced it. If they'd agreed deals for Sanchez and Ozil we would know about it.
If they force him to stay it's an even bigger risk than selling him. They could still miss out on the CL even with Alexis (like this season) so it would be huge money down the drain for them. They definitely will sell.Those comments read well for us.
I don't even think Arsenal could hold him to his contract because nobody can simply pass up £50m+.
I like where this is going.

Nothing begins. For months it's been clear that Sanchez was not going to extend his contract. Wenger/Arsenal can sit tight if they so choose. Expect nothing, watch and wait.

Their club is so badly organised when it comes to contracts it wouldn't surprise me if they made him stay and lose him for free or spend the next year trying to get him to sign a new deal

I've got it right out of my head now- we're not getting Alexis Sanchez. No, wait. It's back in there again
He's an absolute tit that guy. Can't wait for his reaction if we get Sanchez.
Says we are a shit club then goes on to concede we have Pep and quality players. Which is it?!? I think deep in his subconscious he knows Alexis is on his way which is why he's so angry already. Someone buy this guy a half and half scarf!
