Some shocking disrespect in here. He has been decent for us and let's not forget part of the best spell in our history. I have enjoyed watching him play.

Besiktas has issues with FFP. They are not able to afford pay any price for Kolarov. Actually they can't sign new players without selling their ones.

He's in the final year of his contract, City will let him go for next to nothing if we have our signings in place, can't see that many clubs being interested.

243 appearances for us, that has to be respected and a big part in a couple of our trophy wins. He slightly redeemed himself this year but in all honestly should have gone after the league title win in 2014.

Not a player I ever really warmed to because of his defensive issues. After Southampton (away) in Pellegrini's final season, I have never been more angry with a player given the complete lack of effort he shown.

However, there'll be a couple of good memories i'll remember him for:
- Our 1st Champions League goal and the whole crowd going absolutely mental against Napoli.
- Equaliser against Sunderland in the 3-3 draw in 2012. One of those many moments that season when you go; if that didn't happen...who knows!

City won't exactly demand big fee for Kolarov. Main benefit in this deal (if this happens) for City would be to get his hefty wages off the books.

This, and not forgetting how many balls he pinged in for his mate Edin to clip in, yes he isn't the perfect left back but showed his worth when called upon last season at cb, and is good cover at that position if injuries occur

Agreed, Aleks wasn't the best defensively but if his replacement provides as many goals and assists he'll be doing well. That free kick at Leicester on the way to winning the League cup 3 years ago was as good as most I've seen.

No, the main goal of this transfer is freeing up 1 foreign spot for a MCB (Mysterious Center Back).

Let's have it right he's absolutely wank and how he's managed to be on our books for what is it now? 6 years? He's played a fucking blinder there.

All the best to the guy though.

Paul Lake: played 110, scored 10. Won sweet fuck all.
Aleks Kolarov: played 243, scored 21. two league titles, FA cup, two league cups, one community shield.

Legend. (And I don't mean Lake).
