If Alves comes on Wednesday, Sanchez still might come ahead on Tuesday. I'm not complaining about losing out on Alves, I'm saying we've got a separate fluency when dealing with attackers given how the talks are progressing.
Eeerm in that case I apologise

Still think we ain't caving in to you lot, highly possible we just keep him for this year and say to him, do what the fuck you want when your not our employee highly unlikely, but still possible.

I'd be happy with flogging him for 30m to inter milan personally, but football doesn't work like that.
we would of been better off doing a straight swap for douglas costa.

Lol, yeah right.

That was never going to happen. Top players are unlikely to go to Arsenal now. That's the consequence of missing out on the top 4. You could keep him. You can try. Bottom line is Wenger has to compare what an Arsenal squad with Sanchez at the centre of it is against an Arsenal with a Mahrez or ANO will be and that depends on mentality of Sanchez - strng suggestions are he really wants out.

Fair enough. But, think about it this way, if he wasn't your player and you loaned him for a year for £50m would you be happy with that?

With Sanchez digging his heels in and determined to go, only a fool would hold him to his contract, and lose £50m by having a demotivated player for another year, one who dragged the team to an FA Cup trophy, and the heady heights of 5th whilst others coasted through the season.
£50m is a very good deal for Arsenal, and it would be in their best interest to let Sanchez go, and reinvest the money on someone like Mahrez ( at Wimbledon today, so who knows...)
Sanchez is entering the final few years at his peak, he wants CL football, and to play under a manager who he respects totally, and knows he will be surrounded by a motivated top quality in the squad.

Bet you didn't think that when Yaya Toure threw his toys out of the pram.

He has a contract that expires in 12 months. The club don't want to sell him to anyone in the Premier League because only a bigger fool would deliberately weaken their own team whilst strengthening another in the same league. Especially if they're not desperate for the money.

This isn't Leeds United under Ridsdale. They probably have financial contingencies for missing out on champions league for a year, possibly 2. If they want any hope of getting back to the champions league they keep their best players.

All players will sulk for a few weeks till they realise they're going nowhere for 12 months and knuckle down. It's quite sad to hear some fans even suggesting he goes on strike to force a move. We're not talking about some downtrodden worker on pittance wages.

If it's the champions league he wants then I'm sure the club would happily sell him for less to Juventus or Bayern. No offence to City fans but those 2 have got more chance of lifting the trophy. Hope he goes but I'd rather he stays and sulks than strengthen City/Chelsea or anyone else in England.

If we want him, we'll take him.

Which bit is delusion

Name one player that's been kept by a club to his contract and downed tools for the season.

How do you know they haven't got a contingency for missing out on the champions league. Any business would and as you're all fond of saying Arsenal are run just as a business.

The club probably would sell him to Juve/Bayern to stop any premier league teams from having him. And Juve and Bayern are better than City atm.

So which bit is delusional

New article in the mirror, we'd happily sell to you, give us 80m which is fair, we ain't fussed if he leaves for free. 80m and pep can have him.

Even at £80m he is worth it.

Had he had more than one year left he would be worth well over £100m in today's market.

Anything under £80m and I think we will have got a decent deal.

Nothing funny about that, you lot spout shit about how much money you have, 80m wouldn't put a dent in your transfer budget, pay it if u want him, if not wait a year.

Give it a month and we will give you 40
