Panic over!
This made my day

OK. But I think most people's problem is that we have no fullbacks and we were also told by the ITKs and national media a month ago that Alves was joining us.

In 4 weeks time the start of the PL will be hours away. Apart from that we are going on tour with none of the FBs likely to be playing at Brighton.

I hope that Txiki is putting more effort into this than worrying about Alexis.

So basically you're having a panic attack because you don't know whats going on behind the scenes and choose to believe it's a shit show because it gives you an opportunity to do what you love best, bitch about Begiristain and rant about how badly run the club is...

No I'm not saying that. You know I'm not saying that, because I didn't write that or anything close to that.

My opinion is the same as it was yesterday and last week - he's probably going to come to City given he's agreed verbally. If he doesn't then we've missed out on a 34 year old fullback free transfer who was going to play 15 games a season. The idea this somehow plays into Levy's hands is thoughtless bollocks. Like there's only two FBs in the entire world.

I couldn't personally care less either way if he comes. We don't need him for footballing reasons and never have done.

Fair enough. Personally think he would be great, but whatever Alves decides we need to sort out the FB reasonably soon. We don't want them not having any pre season with us given how much importance Pep puts on the position.

Unless of course it is all a smokescreen and we are playing 3 at the back.

Probably the same sense of masochism that endeared me to the club, but I always feel more at home when things go pear-shaped. Feels like there are a lot of newer fans who start screaming when the boat begins to slide into the water, and a lot of old friends smile and reach for their violins.

No clue if this deal is falling apart, bummer if it does, life will go on. I would like to personally recommend that nobody at the club loses their job or their head either way.

I would assume if he is signing for PSG there would be loads of French journalists confirming this now but as yet it's all speculation.

Personally think Ric should start selling Bluemoon branded undercrackers because of the amount of people who sh1t themselves at the first sign of trouble.

Currenty there's French journalists close to PSG giving them just about the same info Sammy Lee is giving us. Their advantage is they have Dani's wife instagram story in Paris to go off of.

The pre season tour is a money making venture and nothing more. Okay, maybe some of the younger players will get a chance to impress but that kind of encapsulates the whole point of not taking a few meaningless friendlies too seriously. Half the players we'll see will be loaned out or never even pull a shirt on for us.

In an ideal world, all our signings would have been done for yesterday's training session but that's not how it works for any club. The other point that I'd like to make is that you shouldn't be adjusting your expectations in line with what you're told by the media and people on a forum. That goes for any walk of life and not just football. I get excited when I read that we're signing certain players but it doesn't mean I jump straight into panic mode when that turns out to be one of the 99 times out of 100 when it turns out to be bullshit.

Everyone needs to chill and trust a very well run club to run itself very well.

Nice one.

No I don't know what's going on. That's why I come on here.

If it was all right for him to play in Turin while his wife worked in Paris, it should also work out playing in Manchester, while she entertains her job. In 2 years time when he hangs up his boots after having won the Champions League again he can move to her in Paris. Not a bad plan if you ask me.

If his wife works/lives in paris, why would she come to england for a couple of days before the us tour? She probs wants to see the bastille day celebrations
