It's Quiet - a new dawn

Going round in circles now.
He fell out of favour towards the back end of last season. Think Spurs and Levy will be pretty pleased with £50mil for him. Not like we screwed them down and got a great deal.

In the end I think the deal benefits both clubs. They get £50mil to invest in their squad, we get a home grown, proven player in a position that we are desperate for.

You must admit that going in to the season with no fullbacks doesn't exactly give us a strong hand when it comes to negotiating?

As I said I will be happy with walker and mendy, plus a.n other up and coming fullback. If Txiki achieves that, then I would say job done - no gold star - but not bad either.

Your just having a go at anyone who dare criticise or discuss his efforts to date.

He "fell out of favour" after he agreed to move here. If you think he's actually not Spurs best right back by a country mile then I've got some Tartan paint to sell you and you probably belief United cooled their interest in Griezmann.

Exactly. We turned his head, Poch saw his arse and started to play Trippier. There's even Spuds fans on their forum trying to convince themselves Walker wasn't their best RB.

No I don't think it is to be fair. Fullbacks are hugely important to our system, we've known for 2-3 seasons they needed upgrading and they still haven't been. How is Marvins point shite?

We had old fullbacks of big wages that ran out this summer. Hence we can now replace them. Expect Kolarov to be replaced next season too.

Oi cheeky cnut. ;) Strangely enough someone has just opened a record shop here in sunny Winsford and he (the owner) reckons people have been travelling miles to look at this new comeback phenomenon.Honestly no piss take B.
It's honestly all the rage here in the States. I've made friends with several members of up and coming bands and they release all of their new albums on vinyl (in addition to Spotify, iTunes, Deezer, Amazon Music, etc.).

Beyond that, it is a broken record on here.

Rose would magically become shit and Ben Davies would be on par with Marcelo
I actually think Ben Davies is better than Rose or will be in very short order. And would fancy trying to get him as backup to Mendy if Bertrand balks at joining us because its a WC year..

Hahaha you wont change one or two,as well you know it.It must be 30+ years since I last bought a record.

For Fuck's sake, it's not even funny any more...

We've been hearing for months that the aim was to get people in before the tour, and it looks incredibly likely that 4 of our 5 priority signings will be on the plane. If a close friend of Guardiola's hadn't broken his personal agreement then we'd have 5/7 targets done and dusted.

Please tell us more about how he's not doing his fucking job.

And remember to compare him to:

Woodward (broke the world record for a second choice after Mourinho briefed the press about how unhappy he was),

Chelsea (signed fucking no one and Conte leaking tot he press he might quit)

Liverpool (Signed 1 decent winger, got reported for tapping up and have failed to get their other target from Leipzig)

Spurs - who have signed no one despite Rose going on the radio saying they needed a statement signing.

Not doing his job...
Great post.

There was no point buying them before Pep arrived because he has very specific requirements for his fullbacks, and expects them to be great wingers, CB's, midfielders as well as fullbacks. So replacing them before summer 2016 would have been a gamble on us getting players he didn't just want to replace.

Last summer, Guardiola arrived and decided there were more important areas of the pitch, so Begiristain bought the players he wanted.

It's not that complicated. We had to build a new team, it couldn't be done all at once.
Again, well said.
