Could start with taking away 90% of the flapping away whilst realising we haven't carried ourselves greatly in this window. Some deals have been unreal but the key area, the area we was awful last year and crying out for reinforcements we are struggling. We caved in fee wise for Walker after Alves ditching us and we need to learn from that. We have chased Mendy for months now and would be really poor to lose him now.
Can you be specific with the details of why we are struggling?

Every business has a budget and so do we

Thanks for the obvious comment! We clearly are within our budget if we can afford to add Mendy and Sanchez. Why not nix the Sanchez deal pay the 45 or 50 mil quid for Mendy and bring in another CB. All of which would keep us under budget and Sanchez isn't really necessary we have enough fire power. We need defense, I think thats pretty obvious.

Christ, the flapping is particularly bad today.

I can deal with the flapping. It's Bluemoon tradition.

What's irking me is the advice being given on how we should be doing our business by people with not one tenth of a clue about the complexities of multi-million pound deals, or the current status of any one of them.

All this "walk away/play hardball/tell them to do one/cave in/learn from this" bullshit from people who's best negotiation experience is probably getting a couple of quid off a pill is doing my head in.

Hello everyone, not sure where to post this as I am new to the platform and cant find where to post this. I was supposed to goto the West ham v City preseason in Iceland next month - August. I have 5 premium tickets for myself and my family but due to work and other matters, I cannot attend. I'd like to give them to anyone (no charge) to use instead of letting them waste. Please let me know where to post this or who is interested.

" There a fiver each pal but you can have 4 for £20.... Erm yeah go on then mate ill take 4"

Disastrous way to negotiate....messing about with Medical called off but still wanting player. If I were Mendy, I'd say no thanks. Now to lose Danilo for same reason. I say, forget Sanchez, we're well stocked up front, and get full backs in ffs.

They will crucify you for these comments, Nurse Ratchett will have you lobotomised and you will become a BM yes man.

Don't forget "fucks sake, all for a couple of grand"

You're welcome lol,i too don't think we are desperate for sanchez but we have sold nacho, nolito and let navas go so we do need at least a couple in there positions, fullbacks are a must and i'm sure we'll get them.I'm not adverse to a flap on match days but really it's all out of our control so we just have to wait

Love the idea that we should just make a take it or leave it offer to clubs for their players and set them a deadline before we walk away.

Most of these deals people are getting so upset about involve us trying to prise players away from their club that aren't actually for sale. Do you know what would happen if we said to Monaco or Arsenal "accept this now or we'll walk away"? They''d say "thank fuck, bye then." Sure we'd move onto the next target but I don't see why we should move onto inferior targets purely because some people on bluemoon need something to keep them occupied during July. If it takes until August to get the right people in then so be it.

Monaco don't especially want to sell and they have loads of money already. If/when this deal is concluded it's most likely going to be above what some would call market rate and it's going to take longer to find an arrangement that's appealing to all concerned. It's MID JULY and we already have three deals over the line that will significantly improve our first 11. There is no other club in our division that can claim that (Everton have done some smart businesss but they've sold their prize asset and look set to lose another). Chelsea and Arsenal have each signed a well regarded forward, but they're likely to lose an even better player in the process for less money before the window closes. United might be happy with Lukaku but they're down an Ibrahimovic. Who have Spurs and Liverpool bought? People need to calm down. We all know the merits of getting players in early but selling clubs aren't really in the business of making it easy for their rivals.

Ha.....I was in the pub and a lad came round with the football card and asked if I wanted a go,I asked how much and he said "50p or 2 for a quid"...I said "can I have 3 for £1.50"....he had to think for about 30 seconds and said "yeah, fuck it".

reading this thread, we can safely assume that supporters (still) live in football manager world .. #smh

Yep. Plenty of posters seem to know plenty about the most obscure players. Yet the same posters were writing off our player of the year, this time last year.

Yeah some of these comments make no sense. Even if they were selling and we said "take it or leave it" I'm sure they can find many suitors for players like Mendy and Sanchez.
