140 million is the lowest hes been quoted at.

He aint coming here lol. Madrid is a possibility as they've recouped 90 odd million from Moratta and Danillo.

I guarantee you we could match that. We've had the cash sat there for a galactico for 5 years now, and not bought one. We made moves for Neymar, Messi, Suarez etc but never had a chance to pull the trigger.

If we don't get him, money won't be the reason. I'm actually more optimistic on this one than Sanchez.

I have never in my life moaned about how much teams pay for players but this transfer window has made me think it's going mad
2 years ago 50 million gets you KDB, a match winning world class player now it gets you a full back
Madrid broke world transfer fee for Ronaldo, a player who'd had about 3/4 seasons of scoring 30+ goals and a CL winners medal and now for an 18 year old who I read on here has played 40 games it looks like someone will have to pay 50 million more than last world record ?
It is getting a bit daft

Just cos we've bought our 2 fullbacks for 50 and have even been linked with Mbappe at that price, if we get him or not we will still get accused of " buying trophies" or " ruining football " so hopefully if we do get him we won't need to spend big again for a while
Maybe a CH next summer

Agree with you,

All that would do is convince Arsenal to hold out for as long as possible on Sanchez.

Hence, don't make a bid on Mbappe unless you know he has said yes.

Brennan is suggesting that City have privately given up the ghost on this one however am i right in thinking that Brennan in Manchester and James Robson is in LA.

Seems very strange that City are saying different things in LA and Manchester.

Anyway Mbappe is due to face PSG on Saturday no doubt there'll be an awful lot happening between now and then.

I wouldn't trust Robson with his own dinner.

I think the time difference is also playing havoc with the flow of information and narrative.

If Brennan has said City think they have lost out, I would be more inclined to believe him over that other fraud.

Sanchez it is then

Fantasy extravaganza.
If we've got that kind of money to spend, instead of blowing it on an 18 year old, let's bring in four top quality players - another CB,RB, defensive mid and attacker.

its not about squad building under pep and city did that for 4 seasons after mancini and did not work if you look at value for money with players we signed its getting the right players even if its going to cost big money and this lad is going to be up there with the best its a pep sort of player you have to have the best to win in europe and at home and watching him last season and in the summer for france this lad will be special and cheap at £150millon a value for money if we sell him on in 5 to 7 years after manchester city win everything and him scoring goals for fun

we need a player that can light up the club on a world stage a player with his name on the back of a manchester city shirt all over the world on kids backs if we lose out to Madrid its going to be a bigger fight in europe its not the end but you have to take the best players of them clubs like barca and madrid and start a attack on them

Sanchez it is then

I agree mate.....The same happened with Pogba. Club started leaking we wouldnt get into a bidding war at the prices that were being thrown about and shortly after we stepped back and moved onto other targets. I get the feeling if Brennan is reporting we not willing to pay the amounts quoted in the press, then we'll start hearing more leaks, that we no longer interested. I get the feeling it will come down to Sanchez or nothing for forwards this summer....

Even without Sanchez or Mbappe we had a great transfer window so not too disappointed if we didnt get either of these players!;)

ups and downs of transfer sagas are fun.

btw, looks it's not just zidane he idolizes :(
