This is probably a smoke screen around the Sanchez deal, i.e. Arsenal get on with it or else we will look else ware leaving you with a player who does not want to be there and will move for free next season..

With the players we have signed/ sold and the players Real have then it makes sense they can afford to go higher. I also think bar the Pep factor and Zidane is not a bad manager (equalled Ferguson's career CL record in his first 2 seasons) for me Real makes more sense for him.

I think we should see what happens and if we could get him we certainly should.

Fully agree with the briefing that it is him and Sanchez (although in all honesty if we got him, I think that would be it), but we do not want Sanchez to feel second choice.

We have great youth in Sane, Jesus and B. Silva. I do not feel it is guaranteed at this stage that Mbappe will reach a higher level then these.

To me he can go to Madrid, I just really hope we can get Sanchez. I think when the next best thing comes along in a couple of seasons, which it will we should hopefully be in a position where we are simply buying 2/3 players a season and then can really go for it.

This entire forum is the definition of bipolar.

One second- absolute manic hieghts.
The next - Oh we're such a small time club still, we'll never sign anyone good boo-hoo-hoo

It is good fun though

Ederson
Walker
Danilo
Silva
Mendy
Douglas

real business done already

Mbappe would be fantastic but not likely, can still see Sanchez and CB bought though
ok MORE real business .
You mention Sanchez and CB, I'd call that 'real business' with change left over from the 160M Mbappe fee with which you can get a defensive midfielder and another full back
Four for the price of one.Simples

Finacially, makes sense, but we just haven't room in the squad for 4 more after Sanchez and cb, don't even see how Mbappe would fit without selling Aguero. It will be next summer when Toure and probably Fernandinho go that defensive midfield gets sorted.

The big boys are circling now. It's only a matter of time before Mbappe asks to leave and Monaco will be forced to sell, crying as they count their £160m.

I have no doubt that this would be Pep's first choice. Looks expensive, but he could give us a good 10+ years. That works out as £16m/year. Sanchez, on the other hand, would cost upwards of £60m and would give us 3 years maximum, amortised at £20m/year.

With Mbappe we would have the best squad in the league by some margin. In fact, I think we'd have a better squad than Bayern and would be in the same bracket as Real Madrid and Barcelona. I really hope the club can persuade him to join us, because that is all that separates us from challenging for the UCL year after year. You just can't pass at opportunities like this regardless of the price.
