Another bluemooner who can see something for what it is and not a biased view. Surprised they've not jumped on you calling you a rag like they did me. I don't think they'll win the league but I think they'll do well in the champions league

They will struggle to get out of their group in the Champs League. They struggled against the 7th best team in Russia, the 2nd best team in Turkey and 8th best team in Spain

The only reason rate those dull fuckers is because they are called 'Manchester United'

They have been shit for 5 years

Put Everton shirts on that first teams and no one would back them to finish in the top 4

Waits for Rag abuse to be thrown at me...

They will be fucking awful to watch but highly effective - can see them losing only 4/5 games and winning a lot by the odd goal - Think - George Grahams Arsenal on steroids

I am not interested what people say, it is just opinions, none more valid than the other. Even the so called professional experts get it badly wrong on occasion. I hate the rag fuckers with a vengeance but I can look at them objectively. When they won the league in Fergiescum's last season everyone said they were total shite, but they won it at a canter. Last season they were dreadful but won two trophies and got in the champion's league by the back door. Until the last few games they were pushing us hard for fourth place. It may not be pretty but they will snarl, elbow and cheat their way back up there, aided and abetted by the usual suspects.

They struggled in attack last season and they have not improved in that area for me so can't see them making top 4 also having to play there best 11 for 2 games a week will have a big impact on there season. They will miss the experience of zlatan up top lukaku, rashford and martial are all young.

They only lost 5 last season and won a number of games by the odd goal. They struggled to break sides down, don't see any signings with the creativity to change that.

Lukaku has replaced Big Nose and will score around the same as he did (17 in the league).

Matic will replace Carrick due to age. He's a very good 'mitherer' but doesn't have Carrick's composure and passing range.

Lindlehof is shit and will shit himself in the pace of a prem game.

I cant see how people think they've strengthened.

There's no way, without an extremely big helping hand from the officials, there'll be anywhere near the title.

Fixed it for you mate.

Agreed. They need a Silva-type player (either of them!) to unlock the bus parkers of this league. I only see Mata as that type of player, and it remains to be seen how much game time he'll get under PEG. Lingard isn't that type of player, ditto Carrick (his legs have gone), Herrera's just a poor man's Keane, will Martial get many minutes on the pitch? Goldenchild and Lukaku are strikers (not midfield geniuses). Fellaini? Don't make me laugh. And Matic is a box to box type player, not the type to pick out intricate passes in a crowded opposing half of the pitch. Same for Mickey Ryan. They're not overly blessed with ball playing midfielders.

I'm sure Gill has ordered the easiest possible group, so they'll progress with a a couple of 1-0 wins, and 4x0-0 draws.

However, I don't think they will finish top 4 in the PL, unless they have a very surprise signing to score them goals, Lukaku alone isn't enough, and the others aren't good enough imho.

OMG *NEWS* Key 103 Denis Irwin reckons Peg is all set and will have a great premier league season this year..
Switched stations Galaxy 102 straight away...

Is that right about sponsorship by Tinder? If so, it figures...
'Manchester United, the team for the sad and the lonely.'

It does look like Mata and Mkhitiryan, but they'll still have the power-running game that Mourinho likes, and hoofball as options, the latter when there's a weak ref.

Lukaku will get 25 in the league, I think, and they'll be in the top 3.

Difficult to say anyone is favourite next season. I think City, Chelsea and Utd will be the top 3.

They were pretty much on their last legs that season and won it for four reasons

First half of the season Van Persie was on fire
Second half of the season shrek was the one scoring the winning goal
Only us as competition and we were particularly average
They still had that fear factor. Teams who were beating or drawing with them sat off for the last five/ten minutes and invited pressure

The 3-2 win at Aston Villa was typical and here's one exert from the report

Incredibly, the Old Trafford club have won 15 points from losing positions this season. And yet these late United comebacks retain something of a jack-in-the-box quality. Everyone suspects they are on the cards and yet still catch their opponents by surprise. This was no exception.

They now don't have those exceptional players and have totally lost the fear factor

We might laugh but they could win the league. A top keeper and a defence that doesn't concede many, Matic in the holding role and now firepower up front. It might not be pretty but it will be effective.
Is their firepower up front much of an improvement from last season with bignose?
