That's an interesting thought, they fully know the money has come from PSG ( their owners ) and surely they have to account for the payments made to Neymar to do this. I just can't see PSG's owners being allowed to give Neymar the money to pay it whilst owning the team he's moving on to without putting it through the clubs accounts in some form.
 
Don't know what Barca are moaning about. They have just been paid €220M for a player that is not worth twice the price of Kun or 5 times what Jesus is worth. Bank it and move on.

Don't all release clauses need to be paid by the player? Seem to remember that with someone we bought from Spain.
Psg will still need to pay the fee back to him so will still go through the books
 
How much did they buy him for? Plus dads share?

Didn't they go to court over that too?

Dont think they r "pissed" money they get, but they lost the player to PSG. and feel that PSG have not folowes or repected the FFC rules, to make fair trade.

what i hate about this, is what will it be next year 80m for LB or RB, team can demand 160-180m for avrage striker!

Dont think this has much relevance to Mbappe, we seemed to be negotiating for him anyway, and assume we could afford him without FFP issues.
Thing is as it looks to me this kind of payment / loophole hs always been an option for the right player but Abu Dhabi seem at lot less inclined to to try it than PSG and the Qatar's.
 


Already signed a 5 year contract with PSG, wants to start on Saturday vs Amiens.

Think i'll watch that one.

There were reports that Qatar paid Neymar 300 million euros to be an ambassador for their World Cup. He probably just used that money, that's where the shadiness of the whole deal comes from.

Thats how it started though, they tried to tap up Verratti, so PSG went after them. Anyone tries to tap their players up and PSG will come back and nick your best player. Love it!

Is that actually true though, or is it just more bullshit trying to smear PSG because they're owned by those dodgy Arabs?

I'd assume it's pretty standard that the player himself doesn't literally pay the release clause and the money comes from the buying club.
