I hope I had something to do with that. I tweeted the show and said be careful where you go with this, as Raheem had instructed solicitors. They were obviously planning a long discussion about it and it was cut short abruptly, when they said they had received tweets while they had been on air, lets move on

If it was true why even discuss this nowt to do with football unless its just have another dig at Sterling and our club. Have to say all media in this country a scum of the earth.

So they were preparing to put the boot in some more when they realised that his lawyers are now on the case,I don't care about people laughing off about no bias or agenda in the media,it's steadily got worse and has been cranked up further,I keep saying it there's a racial undertone to a majority of it be it players as in sterling or the owners of our club,until somehow a stand against it is made it will only continue.Fair play to sterling he's got sick to the back teeth of this shit being written or spoke about him and has decided enoughs enough just hope the club back him and come out with some sort of banning of media/press starting with the cnut who penned the article and the paper in question..

I will give credit to the Scouse journo who was on, didn't catch his name, but he said it was nothing to do with sports journalism and was borderline racism and generally defended Raheem, he said it was the American desk of the Sun that was pushing the story, he was full of contempt for them, it was Kelly and the other journo who were having a dig at the lad

Could not agree more and its stretches far beyond our football club. Sadly as long as people buy this garbage the garbage will continue to be churned out.

Or listen to it. On the wider contect of the media some point people will have to decide if this is the type of media they want and a society more interested in tittle tattle/insinuation/gossip/allegation in a distant celebrity world or real news about the world we live in.
 
We should be able to listen to the countries sports station and not have to be met with them crucifying raz or pep,they are entirely to blame not us

Of course they are entirely to blame, dont be so dramatic, but sadly talksport is based on provoking contentious opinion to stimulate phonecalls and angry debate. Its the jeremy kyle of radio and while the viewing figures remain high, and consequently commercial revenues, do not be surprised if the content remains the same. The only power people have to affect change is to stop listening.
